Fair enough blinding is no joke but if you feel threatend enough to defind your life and body with any object then I think it's beyond giving a shit about the attacker. Most folks would rather be blind and alive then dead and it seems OP has an adversion to killing another being and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that!

Granted aside from intentional abuse, and accidental over saturation (suicides and accidentl death) I don't know of any instances of exposure related death from raid even after being hosed down with it.

I was just providing an example of a ranged, easy to use, legal to carry, effective, deterrent.

Noice! Misread your original thought you said 938 at first.

    I have a p229 Scorpion 9mm a prior Secret Service Nitron carry p229 in .357 and a .45 p220 Super match!

It's nice being in the "Gun-shine" state! (FLA)

    Anyway...

You're telling me there is an airbag UNDER the steering wheel. Under, below, and behind the steering wheel... there is an airbag.

    Tacomas have nutsack airbags?

Edit: I guess it would technically be in front of since it is closer to the front of the truck than the steering wheel. I'll just go snap a picture for clarification...

    Said paddle holster.

Unless you're a cop. Then you can't do anything but say "pretty please".

If the cops can't use force - neither can you.

The thing is. People need to know what they are truly capable of. If you have a weapon and pull it ....you damn sure better be ready willing and able to squeeze the trigger! They are not for scaring someone. If you believe that is what there for do not carry one.
Once again be trained and informed before you carry. Never show your weapon without being prepared to use it.

    That's.... wtf why?!

    Whatever, that's off topic.

Look. Be smart. Just use your damn brain. If you are confident in what you carry to defend yourself and can back up it up in a court of law. More power to you.

I, personally, would rather be tasered than OC'd. I've had both. Both suck. OC sucks worse. Way worse. A hose doesn't help much, especially when it runs down to your junk. And some even have a dye in them that'll stick to a crackhead face for 7-10 days.

I will continue to carry a pistol. I've had to draw my pistol on a big drugged up crackhead who tried to get into my truck at a red light before and it's not fun. I carry everyday, for every reason. If I never point it at another human being ever again I will die happier for it. But at least once it helped me escape and that's good enough for me. If anyone wants the full story I'll post it.

Be smart. Be safe. All of you.

As it should be everywhere. We have concealed carry for everyone in AZ . At my ranch in Oregon the laws are a bit stricter but still ....I carry with a permit.
But here in the great Communist state of California it's getting more and more restrictive almost daily. I personally have a permit to carry from two decades ago that I make sure stays current. I can show due cause to carry. But new permits are next to impossible to obtain.

Generally classified as a weapon, and typically seen as having gang affiliation, so not a good idea. Plus they still require physical prowess to a degree and some skill at getting in close and landing a solid punch. Fleeing or range is always better than getting into a brawl. 9/10 hand to hand fights end up on the ground where you can't really throw a punch anyway.

Better off with a knife if you're willing to get tagged with a weapon charge.

I've always wondered what realistically classifies as "Due Cause" in Comifornia? And what hoops would you have to high jump through to get a permit? Does Cali issue or recognize any out of state permits or out of state LEO permissions?

My original permit which I still keep was issued by a great officer in walnut creek. He was villafied by the suits in Sacramento at the time because he made it very easy.
Due cause in my case was the need to carry because I regularly carry very large sums of money as in cash.
