Ideas for sleep system in a 5 foot bed with a ARE topper?

I'm in the same boat (shell). will probably go with the Napier Sportz Cove 61500 as well due to budget constraints. concerned about rain so may add a few grommets to stretch it to fight tighter.

Have you ever seen these type of temporary grommets for things like tarps and that tent?

This way you can adjust them in the field to suit your needs and not have to worry about putting holes in the tent.

 

Good point. Plus a metal grommet would potentially scratch if it is windy. I have this style. works well for thinner material. Hard to use on thicker tarps. I believe the tent is on the thin side so any of the temporary grommets should work.
