    Stock for now.. maybe
My older shell doesn't really drip or leak with my rear window door open while raining. I think partially because the 'U hinge' deally spans the whole length.

My newer LEER hinge is short 5" or so on both ends. I want to be able to keep it open. Any ideas for some kind of gutter system? The water drips down the outer portion of the window, flows to the end of the hinge then drips in bed.

Tarp will work but not for me. Who wants to stare at that during a nice drizzle?!

I can prop window so that window has downard tilt but there is still a lot of drippage.

Any ideas? Have I explained enough for you to understand what the hell I'm talking about?

Unfortunately yes you will. Other than this one small problem I've been very happy with mine the past year and a half. I have the duel t-handles as well

Is it practical to only open it partially, so the door tilts away from the shell rather than toward?

Could also try to make use of capillary action and run a string across the top so water would follow the string down rather than drip in? Although in heavier rain that may prove impractical...

I like the string idea. 8ll give something like that a try sometime during a drizzle.

I can prop it open partially but anything over 3-4" results in the same problem.

I'm thinking about extending the hinge as much as possible if I can find the right material. I guess they cut it short (compared to older shells) to save a few pennies

Seems soaking the string is important, so again not 100% practical, but it's cheap to try out.

I have the same issue with my ARE- water hits the window, runs down the window and soaks the end of the bed including anything that happens to be there like my sleeping bag and shoes. I looked into buying some of the flexible adhesive gutter/drip rail like they put on RVs but never got around to it. It would have to project beyond the edges of the window and I figured I'd need a piece on the shell as well.
