So I just ordered a black color matched grill and my tacoma is almost all black. All i have left is my rear chrome bumper. Thats all i need black. What would you guys do to make it black. I went on cl and found no black bumpers to buy. SO....... would you guys take the cheap route and use pastic dip.( I hate the dip, did it on my grill and looked bad). Would you sand it down and use truck bed liner on it. That might look ok or just keep looking for a factory black bumper and that could takes years lol. I know i can buy the black bumper cover for the bumper for 160 on toyota parts but Im not auto tech good enought to put it on and fit it into the step pad and all the other parts lol. So..... what would tacoma world experts do lol.

I sold my OEM chrome for $200 shipped. Bought a new primed one from an eBay dealer. $180 shipped. Paint cost about $60 but I got a quart. Sprayed it, cleared it, installed bam

Spray on bedliner. Cheap, easy, durable and looks good in my opinion.

180 shipped on eBay for primed. What is the eBay seller named. I can't find any primed ones on eBay for 180 lol. Can you look for me.I was thinking powder coating. How hard is it to take the black plastic step pad and other things off the chrome bumper to send it off to coating. Is it easy or what. I don't even know how to do that. Thanks guys.

I bought a rustolium rattle can and went to town after i sanded it down. There are a couple nicks, but when it costs less than 5 bucks to fix it...

Do you have pics of it. I'm thinking about this. Maybe if I have the guts to paint it. I don't have good painting skills but I could give it a try.

Ok great. Thanks. How Is it holding up. I know it might get Knicks and stuff but 5 bucks a can is cheap. I was gonna get a plug in hand sander and really rough it up . Get into the chrome good and then prime it and then spray it. Powder coating places near me want 300 to coat it. It's a lot of money

Three coats, so 15 minutes spread out over a few hours and then I dried it over night. The sticker took me 30 seconds to apply.
