Front skid plate. Hood protector, and wade in-channel guards. K&N CAI. Weathertech floormats, and door scuff guards. Tri-fold soft tonneau cover.
It wasn't anything spectacular like catching a record swimmer, and bringing it home for trophy. I went to the fish monger and picked up some red snapper(6 separate bags), and when I got home(1mile away), the bags had leaked, and I had a wet spot a little bit larger than a dinner plate.

I need to get the smell out. I'm not terribly bothered, but the summer months are upon us, and I also work in a corporate environment, and don't think the smell transfer would go over very well.

Shampoo worked for me but I believe my scenario was far worse than yours . I had to shampoo at least 3 times .
The uncleaned fish in my case were left in the back seat for well over two weeks combined with completely closed windows and blazing hot sun . It was a challenge just opening the drivers door .
The were huge stains on the carpet . The acid from the rotting fish actually leaked through the plastic bag .
With this said , it was common for me to spend big bucks on air fresheners after the fish incident .
It was a blessing in disguise when some lady rear ended me and the insurance company wrote off the vehicle

After proper cleaning if it still smells get an air sponge before you get air fresheners... My truck stunk and i couldn't figure out why (it was dirty ac drain line)... Picked one of these up at my local Walmart and they work great, have used them since (they also come in automotive flavour, only difference I've noticed is the color of the container)

You can also put a dryer sheet in the cabin air filter.

    Stop picking up stank hookers!

    Jk!

Rent a carpet cleaner, clean the whole area, just in case the leak is a lot bigger than it actually looks.

I'm pretty sure they sell aerosol cans of odour eliminator.

I've thrown my floor mats in the washing machine before. As for the carpet I would rip it out and simple green the shit out of it

A little of this and a little of that.
Sprinkle the area where it leaked with baby powder.

Like others have said, scrub and shampoo the whole area and afterwards wait for a hot day and hot box it. (let it sit in the sun and every couple of hours crack the windows and then put them back up not smoke inside lol)

I've had spill problems in the past and it helps to get that last lingering hint of a smell out. Definitely shouldn't be the first step haha

Go to Round Table Pizza (or a pizza place of your choice) and get an italian garlic supreme (white sauce, Pepperoni, Sausage, green onions, tomatoes, Chopped garlic) extra garlic and jalapenos. Leave it in the car for about an hour, then you'll be smelling that for a week.
