I saw a jeep on the road the other day with some cool looking paint on the bumpers.

Any one know what to call this? It has a rough appearance. Kind of a krinkle?

I was wondering how this would look on some wheels I found some TRD offroad wheels that I am going to be getting power coated. I was thinking of a 30% gloss? I was wondering if this paint would work on a wheel?

Those are smittybuilt bumpers, that is their factory finish, they come like that. however you can get a spray on rustoleum spray on bedliner that matches it very closely, used it to do the whole front of my jeep and all my rock wear on it. has a great finish and didnt get any runs. kind of a pain in the ass to wash, you need a car wash brush, but it looks good.

Can a local power coat or paint shop do this? Or is this some type of patented paint?

The bed liner spray by Rustoleum won't have as much wrinkle. Yor best bet would be a bed liner shop spraying it

It didn't look like a bed liner? It had a little gloss to it. It looked like 2 square feet of powder coat scrunched in to 1 square foot. I will have to go to smittys web site and check it out.

Just went to the smitty web site and they call it.

"Two Stage Matte Black Finish Powder Coat Finish" or"textured matte black finish"

I guess I will have to call around about this.

If you're interest in a semi gloss type of bedliner I can ask a friend who just had his Ram's bed sprayed. It appeared to have a semi gloss finish when he first got it done
