I like them, these were the 1st ones BMW selling here. I'm saying they don't hold up to daily abuse driving them 365 in all weather conditions. Not with out repairing things. They are not bad cars.

The 2025 Camry is the only current Toyota product with their 5th generation hybrid drivetrain. I don't know what that really entails, but I figured its worth mentioning.

I test drove one and it drives pretty similar to the last gen Camry with just minor changes to the seats, door cards, and front and rear clips.

I’ve owned 2 Xterra, a 1st and a 2nd gen. The 2nd gen was a Pro4x manual. If I could have had a 3rd gen Frontier Pro4x MT I probably would have taken that. I preferred the transmission of the Xterra to the Tacoma. I still love the Tacoma, but it’s not the same.

Wife drives a Murano, also love that even if it’s with a time bomb CVT.

I had a '22 Frontier. I got impatient with the late roll out for the new Tacoma, which I really wanted, and was pleasantly surprised with the Nissan. I really liked the more basic interior (kind of a "smoother" look vs the Tacoma being more "chunky" I suppose). The seats were nice (but so are the Tacomas); I liked the placement of the cupholders, and it came with some things the Taco didn't at the entry level (SV; not base level S) model price point - namely power seats, dual zone climate control, and USB for the backseat (kids have to plug in their devices, right?).

But...The one thing I couldn't stand about the Nissan was the heavy steering feel and poor turning radius (plus a few other things, but more minor). It felt like driving an old dump truck with not enough steering boost - made a mid size truck feel much bigger and less nimble IMO. If the Nissan had steered like the Tacoma, I would've kept it as it seemed solidly built and I never experienced any issues with my Frontier.
However, that steering drove me nuts, and so I got the best deal I could get on an equivalent Tacoma (SR5). I do hope my Taco lasts for many years with good care, as I'm getting closer to retirement and its already fully paid off.

How is the steering radius on the LB Tacoma? I understand that its worse than the 3rd gen, which is bad enough, IMO.

I haven't drove a 3rd Gen Taco to compare, but the Toyota turns tighter than the Nissan even though I believe spec to spec on paper, the Toyota appears to be worse. But driving them, the Toyota is much easier to maneuver and park than the Nissan, even though its wider.

I did look at a new 3G Taco before buying the 4G, but the dealer had a stop sale on all of them due to something with the rear axle, so I never got to actually drive it. But I really liked the seating position of the 4G, and the price for the 4G ended up being cheaper than the 3G since the dealer was hoarding them for some reason (no discounts at all at the time I was shopping back in April - maybe due to the stop sale).

I thought the seats were more comfy than the last gen.

Similar to OP, I am cross shopping a Lexus IS, 4th gen Tacoma, and 2025 Camry. Doing an extended test drive of a Camry tomorrow. That huge MPG number is tempting and my old 1st gen is still kicking...

How do you cross shop a sedan and a pickup? They are two completely different cars?
