Hey TW, I've been a long time lurker, but never posted.
Didn't want to annoy anyone with my insistent noob questions.

Anyways, enough talk, I have a quick question. As the title suggests, I'm an idiot and I decided to be skimpy with $$$ on my lift. I went with plate spacers, and 1" blocks in the rear just to level the truck. Unfortunately I'm a weekend warrior and didn't research my lift. Long story short I flattened and warped the blocks. I removed the blocks and am sitting stock for the time being, until I order a real lift.
Back to the question; Would I be able to install Icon 2.0 rear adjustable shocks (0-2.5") with stock leaf springs?
As much as I love impressing girls with my Taco lean, I want my level truck back. With my "not so vast" knowledge of mechanics, I assume it would be possible to have icon shocks at 1" of lift with stock leafs, and my leafs would just be flexed constantly, correct me if I'm wrong. I would like to figure out if it is possible or not before I actually order the shocks, as I am planning on making my truck more functional as a weekend warrior, rather than a broke for cash Frankenstein truck.
Thanks again and be kind with the spacers and block lift criticism. Just looking for some helpful advice before I ruin my truck.

    Thanks again,
    Erik.

I am currently doing, more or less what you're trying to do. I chose to focus on just leveling the front. I ordered adjustable 5100s from Wheeler's off road, a vendor here, with the 1/4 inch spacer to solve the taco lean. I have ride rite airbags in the rear and can tell you for certain that you can't get rid of taco lean by making changes to the rear end. I'm setting the 5100s at 1.75 because I can raise the rear with the ride rites. You could do .85 to level and it would look good. shipped to the house, I spent $200. I'll have a shop swap the springs, I'll install and get an alignment. $300 from low to leveled.

Speaking for the rear, the icon 2.0 can accommodate up to 2.5" of lift. They don't provide adjustable lift in the rear. You would need aals or a leaf pack to achieve lift.

The front suspension is a coil over assembly. You can get an adjustable coil over, like bilstein 5100s. 0", .85" ,1.75", 2.5" are the settings on the front bilsteins.

^^That was the answer I needed to hear. So I would need a new leaf pack or aal in order to achieve the 1.5" of lift in the rear I lost when I removed the blocks. The Icon adjustable shocks are adjustable up to 2.5" of lift as a limit, not actually lifting the truck. I understand now. Thanks so much!

Yes, you could go with a toytec aal that gives you 1.5" of lift. The toytec will ride rough though. The icon leaf kits say they give a better ride than factory and lift the the truck.

As for the icon rear shock, the shafts are longer to accommodate for any lift that you add. You don't actually adjust anything on the shock.

Okay that makes a lot more sense. As for an aal, I would rather just buy a new leaf pack. Any idea on how hard it is to install a leaf pack yourself? I'm not much of a mechanic but I do like to learn and do stuff on my own.

Not terribly hard. You just need to be careful to support the axle. Once the u bolts are taken off, it can get tricky with the axle swinging around.

Yeah I put the blocks on myself and replaced the stock shocks once by myself and that wasn't hard, I just was unsure if I need to compress the springs or anything to make them fit. Back to more research on leaf springs though.
