I recently had the IAC valve replaced by a local garage which stopped a significant "bass drum" sound emanating from the K&N filter. Before the engine is warmed up, it now idles about 1,000 rpm , and then it drops to 800 - 900 rpm when it's warmed up. Previous to the IAC replacement it would idle between 700 and 750 rpm (I've verified the dash tachometer numbers with my OBD Scanner). There are a number of posts and YouTubes about a procedure that allows the ECM to "relearn" the idle. The garage told they tried the "relearn" process several times, but weren't able to get it down to the pre-IAC replacement range. What I've been able to find on the relearn process have all been on automatic transmission Toyotas - I can't find anything for a manual transmission. Does anyone have a link or website that might have that information?

Do a search on cleaning the throttle body, I think there are comments about a high idle afterwards and how to deal with it.
