Idle jump 2021 Tacoma

    I have a 2021 Tacoma. and the idle only jumps when the heat or ac is on and it goes from 600 to 900 is that normal

    It also does it when you're steering without touching the gas. Basically the engine needs just a little more power to run those things effectively so it bumps it for you. It's not unique to Toyota.

    Basically the only jumps when idling when the blower for the Heat and or air is on

    Yes. Any additional load is compensated by the ECU. Imo of course.

    I had a Samurai that had a vacuum pot on the side of the carb. When I turned on the headlamps, the rpm would bump up a bit. This is completely normal with most vehicles.

    You’re putting a bigger load on the engine when you use additional accessories such as ac. Normal
