I have a 1998 regular cab SR5 four-cylinder 2.4 L. Making a noise like a whining noise or low squeal. I figure it is probably one of the idler pulleys. Truck has 176,800 miles on it.
Does anyone know what the Toyota OEM part numbers are for the two idler pulleys and the belt.

This site is amazing for getting you full blown diagrams of every different part of your truck as it'll include part numbers (both original, and revised) - https://partsouq.com/

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I need. I was actually looking for schematics, but could not find but a very few. Thanks again,

I bought aftermarket Gates pulleys. P/N 38031. Made in Canada. Worked well. Another option is to just replace the bearings in the pulleys. I did this on the ones that I removed so that they are ready for the next replacement. The sealed bearing you want is a NSK 6301 with double rubber seal.

BTW, the noise I was chasing was not resolved by the new pulleys. Oh well.

Thanks for the info. I’ll check into those bearings.

I checked into the gates pulley 38031 and the pulley itself is made in Canada, but the bearings are made in China so it’s basically a piece of crap

The bearing in the Gates pulley that I installed was marked NTN so probably not a piece of crap. NTN has a bearing factory in Canada so I presume that's where it came from. In any case, we'll see if this Gates pulley is up to the task. The new bearing spun nice and smooth, but then again so did the bearing in the original.

I hope you solve your squeal. I'm still hunting mine down

Sorry, I just got one from Amazon and I am returning it because the bearing is made in China.
