Its not disingenuous, if it's a direct quote.
EDIT: I freely admit liking 4 cylinder Toyotas verges on a psychosis.
Q: "Do you suffer from mental illness?"
A: "'No', I enjoy every minute of it."

The 6 cylinder part of what you said was not a direct quote. and it was disingenuous in its meaning.

The part that hes been inside the V6, which he never said starts at 19:35 I quoted what he said above. IF there is another part or a different video, then let me know. But if this is the video you speak of, then it was not a direct quote by you.

Yeah, it was by memory. "bulletproof" works for me
"I have been inside every Toyota engine, except 2TR-FE" is kind of a clue for me.

The 4 cyl works great for me..though I'm a single cab 2WD so I'm the lightest possible config in the 2G

Love my Tacoma, especially after adding a shell. Pulls the boat; confidence on dicey logging roads; easily handles all my ice fishing gear and pop-up in the winter; can sleep in the back when camping summer fall. Not a bad commuter truck either.

Would have bought a full sized truck personally. Not any worse mileage and real towing capability..

I would have stuck with my tacoma but probably would have gotten a trim lower or two. Since ive been on this website my understanding of the truck and what im capable of doing is such that i didnt need the TRD OR, id be happy with a SR5 and modding it how i liked and saving that extra money. But yea it does everything I need it to do and i cant wait to get my RTT on it this summer to go camping with my family

There is a considerable price difference for sure...

I've used my 4X4 during it's first winter here in Delaware. I put about 300lbs worth of bricks in the bed to assist with traction--it worked.

That plus I plan on driving my truck onto the beach at Cape Henlopen but I guess in the next year because all the DE permits were handed out for 2022.

There's a thread where someone is asking about making u-turns with 4X4 engaged and boy did that raise some eyebrows...lol!

Yes, it costs more for a TRD but for some, the need maybe overkill. Hopefully, you don't have buyer's remorse.

I've admitted to having add-on remorse but finding out I can do some of the upgrades myself. Having the TRD makes the upgrades attainable too!

If buying today, yes I would get another Tacoma. Since I am happy with my 2016 and not looking to trade-in, I will wait to see what the 4 Gens look like and what they have to offer. Even then, Toyota will have to make the 4th Gen very enticing for me to trade-in.

I don't know a single person who actually likes those gladiators. My room mate (F) has a 2022 Jeep Sahara Unlimited XE and we always laugh/cringe at the sight of those things because we each have the best parts of whatever those ugly turds are trying to be. My tacoma and her Ballin ass 60k jeep
