Yes, I’d buy it again. I’m on my 3rd small Toyota truck and they seem hard to break. After driving a bunch of different trucks last year I decided to stick with what has always worked for me.

Of course I would, why would I not?
I have a '96 Tacoma with 414,000 trouble-free miles on it and a "18 TRD Sport with 25,000 trouble-free miles on it and neither has ever been back to the dealer.

Do you need to tow? This is the only area where I wish the Taco was more impressive. Otherwise I love it!

I looked at a ZR2 in Laser Blue Metallic before the Tacoma. The deal breaker on that one was the MSRP and dealer wouldn't budge from it.
I've had good luck with Chevy's and Toyota's.
I'd look at the chevy again if a new one was something I was thinking about.

Edit, that same $45k dollar ZR2 could be purchased 2 years later with warranty remaining for $30k

If I were shopping again, I might buy a sport access cab, possibly automatic. Wouldn't mind the stiffer handling and marginal fuel economy gain, and the 6' bed would be a little better for camping. I've had rear seat passengers exactly twice.

No issues with the current truck at all. I'd probably still be buying another Tacoma for my current needs.

I've had 4, a gen 1 and 3, 3rd gens my 16 and now my 21 have been the best for mileage 19-23 mpg commuting. The 16came slightly over a qt low in the transmission, drove it 6k in bitter cold it never shifted right afterwards even with all the TSB's other than the color it would have been a keeper. After totaling the 04 and it protecting everyone inside along with the resale/ residual value the Tacoma is the only one I would buy.

I almost bought an F150 but decided on a Tacoma because of its size. Fits in my driveway way better and easier to drive around town. No regrets at all, would definitely get the Tacoma again.

Yes, given that I just got it in December lol. I had a 2018 Titan. Mechanically it was a solid truck and that V8 sounded so good. The reality is, I very rarely need a truck that size and I probably used it as a truck more than most guys who have a full size truck. The Tacoma is perfect for me right now. I considered the Ranger, and it seems like a nice truck, but even that is pretty big.

Combined mileage of the Toyota PU's I have owned is some where around the 700,0000 miles mark so yeah I would buy another one but it would be awhile the 2011 only has a 130K.

Recently traded in my civic for a 21 TRD Pro. Love the look of the truck but hate the way it drives. Even with the tune on it it still bounces between gears and is constantly in 4th gear doing 80.

I have a reservation in for the new Ford Lightning EV. Depending on price and options I will probably trade into one of those. $3.60 a gallon sucks right now lol.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I didn't consider anything else. I've owned 3 prior Toyota trucks prior to the 21 TRD OR AC I just bought last December.
14 years of technological innovation makes it a much different truck than my previous '06 TRD OR AC. I'm adjusting to the changes and to my 1st automatic. Haven't found anything to really bitch about, and I'm expecting that this truck will outlast me.

I’ve had Dodge, Ford and Nissan pickups. Yep, definitely would buy another Tacoma.

    * If you were buying today, would you still choose the Tacoma? Why? Yes. In my mind, nothing comes close to competing with the reliability for the market point.
    * If not, why? What would you buy instead? Why?
    * What problems have you had that disappointed you in the Tacoma? My adaptive cruise control doesn't work at the moment, but that's my fault. Otherwise, still happy.
    * Were these issues significant enough to cause you to doubt the reliability of the truck? Never
    * What other trucks did you look at before buying the Tacoma? The Colorado. SUPER glad that I didn't.
    * What did you like & dislike about them? I thought I liked the look, but I really disliked the options and the stance from the factory.

    * If you were buying today, would you still choose the Tacoma? Why? Yes, looks and reliability.

    * If not, why? What would you buy instead? Why? Possibly a Tundra. Right after I bought the Taco we went looking at travel trailers, some of the ones that we like are heavier than what the Taco is rated to tow.

    * What problems have you had that disappointed you in the Tacoma? No problems so far, though the MPG should be better for a Mid-Size truck.

    * Were these issues significant enough to cause you to doubt the reliability of the truck? None.

    * What other trucks did you look at before buying the Tacoma? Colorado, Ranger. My wife liked the Ridgeline. Looks and overall Toyota reliability were the reason I chose the Taco.

    * What did you like & dislike about them? Colorado - Too Tall. Ranger - Reliability Ratings. Ridgeline - Not a real truck.

I had a 1992 Toyota 4x4 'Truck' prior to Tacoma name. I had to get rid of it when my wife started having kids. Yes, I had to get a mini-van. I missed my Toyota so much. It was reliable, manual transmission, and just plain awesome. I finally found myself in a situation where I could get a car that 'I wanted' after driving work vehicles for so many years, mostly Ford Taurus and Chevy Impalas. I looked at some other trucks but I wanted something that I knew I would have very little issues with that was versatile and would last me a long time with great resell value. I didn't think long. Taco was easiest decision. I was pleased to know it had so many cool features too. Wireless phone charger in a taco??? Sliding back glass? I'm in love again.taco_kayak.jpg

Owned Toyota trucks since the early 70's, none has ever let me down. Not happy new vehicles are so dealer dependant when Toyota dealers generally suck, but that's life in today's America.

Sounds like you haven't actually driven a Gladiator. The 3 different ones I test drove recently have a nicer interior than Tacoma and were as easy to drive down the road as my lifted 2017 TRD OR DC.
