Maybe some nice wheels with it, help change the look! SCS makes some real nice wheels for the 16s or something like the TRD PRO 4runner SEMA wheels, etc.

That would be nice as well. I really like the TRD pro wheels.

My issue is EVERYONE is running them, I was on base and at the damn commissary another 16 parked next to me with the same wheel and tire set up.

Ha. Yeah, the reason I would want to change is to have something more unique. May look elsewhere!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
You can install a nice suspension like King, Icon, or Fox, without adding any lift at all. You can also go with stock length upper and lower arms to improve the strength. Aftermarket bump stops will smooth out harsh hits as well.

In short: you seem to think you need to lift to install a new suspension but you don't. The rest of your ideas is great, new tires like Goodyear Wrangler, KO2s, Toyos, etc. will be a great idea, avoid load-range E for best ride. Keep in mind the more armor you add the more weight you add which will affect stock springs due to increased weight. Aluminum is a great way to cut on added weight but comes at a heavily increased price.

Seat covers help to keep the dirt and mud off the fabric seats along with all weather mats. It's alot easier to wipe off a leather or neoprene seat cover than it is to try and scrub it out of fabric. They also resist snags better than the fabric. Fabric also will hold sweat and mildew odors longer than a leather or neoprene cover. I also installed Clazzios and love them.

You can never have too many tow straps, enough rope, bungees or ratchet staps. I also keep a breaker bar, sockets, pliers, open end wrenches, a few screw drivers and a couple rolls of duct tape.
Get a tire plug / repair kit also and know how to use it.

I also keep a large blanket and tarp in my toolbox. If you have to crawl under the truck or lay on the ground, no need to lay directly in the dirt or mud if you can avoid it.

It's not so much what's on the truck but what you carry in the truck to be prepared for most emergencies. You don't always break down on busy highways and help could be a long way away.

Is there a first aid kit that kits behind the back seats? Would like to carry one also. I would like to lift but didn't realize there were problems afterward so I'll probably leave it stock besides cosmetic mods. Wouldn't the hilift jack work as a come along too?

Thanks Denny, I really hadn't thought of upgrading suspension without a lift. Great plan! I'll have to start doing a little research in that area. I've been checking the weights of the sliders. The RCIs are 57 lbs. The Mobtowns are 70 ish. No one has mentioned the front skid plate as being a worthwhile upgrade but the aluminum one from RCI is 20 lbs. I'd be fine with adding none of them if I can get by without them. I was just thinking i would have a lot more points for my high lift jack with sliders.

Can you go to 75 without rubbing or lifting?

Thanks for the great suggestions. Really like the tarp idea. I've seen the Clazzios installed here on the forum and they look great. Look a little difficult to install maybe. I do carry a tool box with the items you call out in it.

It can if you know how to use it, I like to carry both in case I need to use both at the sane time or loan one to a buddy on the trail. Doesn't take up much room.

I do have a first aid kit that fits behind my back seat but I'm not sure how old it is or what's in it. It came out of another vehicle

I have seen high lift jacks used as a come along but it looked a little cumbersome because of the weight of the jack. Would work in a pinch though.

Good point. Come along and jack it will be, both. Straps, first aid kit, tie downs, water, tarp, clothes, tub to carry it all.

My pleasure friend! Skid plates and assorted armor are always a good idea depending on the type of trouble you may find yourself into.

I rubbed fully stock in specific situations with a 4x4 TRD Offroad. Assume you can find a spot you may rub but it won't be very common.

So, do you think it's worth the upgrade to move up one tire size? For me, 265/75/16.

Another question is p-metric or c rated LT tires....

Nope, I keep it locked in my toolbox in the bed along with most of my other gear, keeps the jack mechanism clean and dry.

You could mount yours on the bedrail to fit under your tonneau if you want to go that route.

Does any company offer a full skid plate package with aluminum? I assume that if I did all the skid plates I'd need to update the springs and shocks, correct?
