I'll probably get blasted for this but I had 3 dodge Dakota's...I liked them but 2011 was the last year for them.....so my answer is a Dakota.

My dad bought me my 2010 Tacoma brand new as a gift back in 2009. By September 2009 we'd narrowed the list to 2 trucks, the Ford Ranger and the Toyota Tacoma. My dad and I went to McCafferty Ford in Langhorne, and they had a beautiful brand new 2009 Ford Ranger XLT. It was a 2WD regular cab short bed with the 2.3L 4-cyl. and 5-speed automatic transmission (since the late nineties automatic Rangers have been 5-speed). This truck was very obviously a special order that someone had decided they did not want. It had A/C, cruise, tilt, power windows, power locks, and CD player with AUX input, and it also had chrome rims. The sticker was close to twenty grand. My dad test drove the truck (I only had my learner's permit at the time so I couldn't drive it), and then attempted to negotiate. The dealer wouldn't go below about $17,000. As a result, we walked. I would have been happy with any truck my dad got me as long as it had cold A/C and a decent stereo, but even though that particular Ranger was a bit prettier than my Tacoma, I'm glad I got a Tacoma instead of a Ranger.

Chevy Silverado since I've always been a bowtie guy. If they made the Colorado look as good as the Tacoma I'd have one of those.

I've had the Tacoma in my avatar for almost 10 years and 175,000 miles. It has by far been the best truck I've owned. But needs change and I now needed a bigger truck. Went with F-150 and kept the Taco too. The Toyota is still driven daily, just no longer on road trips.

Probably some diesel beast with stacks up through the bed and moster truck tires on it.

Or, a Tundra. Who knows. I cant imagine life without my Tacoma. Im not really a fan of all the newer model vehicles and all the tech behind them just to make them operate. It scares me what vehicles will be like when I finally need to replace my Tacoma.

They're fun arent they? My only complaint is the seats. they are so hard and flat.
