Hi, as you can see, and smell (yes, Im talking about my taco...), lol, I am new, and i have some questions that I hope can be answered. First of all, My name is Austin, I live in Las Vegas. I have an 07 Prerunner Taco 4.0 I bought it used with 15k on it. Only thing i have done to it is 17in MB V-drive rims and Yokohoma Geolander HT-S which im going on 15k miles right around the time of this post. Total milage, 72,546. Never done a lift, but personally, i think i need to. I feel like my tacoma is really low all the time. The space in between my front a arms and bump stop is alittle less than an inch. Its really low!!! everytime i go over a bump, you KNOW your going of a bump. My rear leaf springss are actually bending the opposite way, and when i took it to the shop, they said they hadnt been flipped either. It seems to me that prior owner used the truck to its extemes and beyond. I have been looking at some lift, mainly pro comp 3 in, or maybe maxtrac spindles with 5100. I am looking for something inbetween $500 and $900. I really dont know what to pick, if anyone can help, that would be awesome. Sorry dont have pics right now, ill get them on soon.:confused::confused::)

He is meaning use the search function on the forum. The way he explained it can come off as if he wants you to log off. Welcome to tw. Also I think for the price range you are in I would go with an old man emu (ome) lift and get new rear leaf springs. If you do just an add a leaf you are going to eventually where it out and be back where you are now. You might spend a little more money but you will get a really high quality lift and fix the problems you are discribing.

Thanks and sorry 1993t100, its been a long day. I have looked into old man system, but it for some reason does not suit my needs. The procomp 3 in lift is nice, but as you said, and i know, add a leafs are good for the first 10k miles, then its junk... What about max trac 4in spindles, will they work with stock shocks? Maybe have stock shocks with new springs and maxtrac spindles in the front, and bilstien with 2 in leafs and 2 in block in rear to equal out to front? would that work?

You have 70k+ miles on your original shocks. Might as well switch them out if you're doing spindles. Maybe your front springs are bad, which is why you're near bottoming out. What about the rears?

& no, the previous owner probably didn't over load or abuse , Tacoma rear springs just suck, you can either rebuild your leafs (my personal favorite choice) Or buy new set (alot more $$$$)

I am actually going to buy the Billie kit with the 5100 and e. springs up front and im spending the $190 for the 5160's for the rear, plus the rear add a leaf for now, my next upgrade will be max trac 4in spindles up front and either new 2 in leaf packs or 1 to 2in lift block.
