I'd be interested in how that happened (unless you just simply settled for a lower trim model.)

I bought an SR v6 4x4 and would've had to move up 2 trim levels to get a manual.

The dealer had three manuals on the lot, the first thing the salesman said when I asked about the manual truck, "We can't sell these things!" $5,000 off sticker! Thank you very much.

Right in 2017 the leather was not, but you could get the Sunroof.

The market is small and getting smaller for manual transmission vehicles. US News and World Report recently stated in an article that only 18% of american drivers can operate a manual transmission.
Manual transmissions have typically been popular with sportscars however only about 22% of 2019 C7 Corvettes had manual transmissions and a manual trans isn't even available in the new 2020 C8 Corvette.

Personally, don't believe I'd pay $5000 extra for an auto even though today I was just admiring how good my 2018 TRD Sport auto was shifting. Besides my '96 Tacoma 4x4 is a manual so I just jump into that when
    I feel like shifting.

According to Edmunds, 2% of the vehicles sold in the US in 2018 were manuals. There is no need to know how to drive one.
(And I’ve been driving them for over 30 years, and prefer them.)

In 2018 you could get leather, moon roof (premium package) and manual trans, however you couldn't get the JBL system with the manual for some reason.

5-6 years from now manuals probably won't be offered in any car or light truck.

I'll take an automatic even if they charge $8,000. I need one hand free to fap in the truck.

In some models an auto is extra, but in this it isn't. I cannot answer this hypothetical as my truck suits me well although it is an auto. The car i drove before was a V70 R manual and that was/is absolutely amazing. I don't drive this truck to get the same thrills. i drive it because i like it and to go camping, both of which are better as an auto. So ill keep my auto. If they told me it was a 5k option, I'd tell them to throw the JBL in then because you can't/couldn't get that in the manual.

$5,000 for an automatic transmission is a lot cheaper than having a third leg attached so you can push three pedals!:anonymous:

The Auto is currently about a $1300 Option if I am not mistaken.

I believe its always been higher, the Auto Sport is definitely more expensive than a Manual Sport.

mmm, probably. I got my auto a better deal than a manual. Only reason I wanted it was because of the JBL couldn't be had with a manual. At that time the dealer didn't know that so I was able to negotiate a bit

Absolutely. All things considered, i miss rowing my own gears. I still have that other car, so I get my manual fix with that

I wouldn't buy a MT car with the exception of a fun summer weekend sports/muscle car.
If my Taco was 5k more I wouldn't have bought it.
