You'd have to cut the barrel down on that shotgun. No way you could swing it around fast enough to take out a zombie rush.

edit: just saw the one on the bottom. You're good.

Y'alls are lucky. All I've got is a Ruger 10-22. Not too sure how good a .22LR would stand up to a zombie...

Momma won't let me get anything bigger 'till I move out... :(

All ya gotta do is hit 'em in one of the eyes, that little .22 will just bounce all around inside the skull and do 'em in.

If your momma will only let you get a .22, try looking at a .22 Hornet. It's a pretty good bullet. I have a survival rifle chambered for the .22 Hornet and a .410 shot shell. Over and under barrels, with round storage in the butt stock. I think it's made by Springfield. :)

It depends. what kind of zombies are these? see... the old zombies were never scary. they walked around under 1mph and groaned and bumped into each other and were generally slow and stupid. if it were those kind of zombies i would just buy a tactical shotgun and a big ax and just walk around like nothing were wrong occasionally killing a random zombie. But the new zombie movies are completely different. in all the remakes the zombies scream bloody murder, throw up blood, run at top speed and seem smarter than the old school zombies, watch the new "dawn of the dead" or 28 days later for reference. if that were the case i would probably crawl into a corner and cry cause those zombies are scary as hell

Unfortunately, we wont get advanced notice of what kind of zombies are going to attack. Which is why we need multiple plans. FWIW, crying is in a few of mine. :D

great movie.... i was thinking about it and i dont think i have alot to worry about. zombies eat brains right? well what about my brain? its infected with syphilis and half rotten from years of alcohol abuse. it's the equivilant of drinking a gallon of sour milk.... nobody wants that. i think people like me will be left alone

that was unusually funny Mark! i'm laughing my ass off at how much though you've put into this.

yup, the best thing to do is to go to the mountains where it's less populated and you can live off the land. of course if you're not familiar with redneck/hillbilly ways then you're screwed. so you better be nice to the Carolina Alliance boys cause we might just be saving your ass when the zombies strike. the NA boys will be the first to have their faces eaten.

How bout some words of wisdom from ole Hank Jr.

We’re from North California and south Alabam
And little towns all around this land
And we can skin a buck; we can run a trot-line
And a country boy can survive
    Country folks can survive

you mean like The Huge Mistake? Don't even think about it

Haha, random. I was at work reading The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks today and was going to come home and make a "what would you do if Zombies..." post. Glad to see we are all on the same page.
