    If the tacoma did not exist i would buy a that got the best gas mileage i could find. i mean have you seen gas prices lately. i think they go up about $.05 every 8 hours.

    FORD, the only ones that didnt take T.A.R.P, quality others are junk thats why they needed tax payer bail out.

    I'd look for a nice cherry 67-72 chev/gmc shortbox 4x4 with a 292 l6 engine, matter of fact I'd dump the Tacoma right now if I could find one of those.

    To the point of T.A.R.P I agree. Ford stayed under the radar those days, and has quietly been dominating the market to this day. If we are talking strait trucks here you can't lose with a Ranger or F-150.
