I'm having bad luck with a 2015 silverado and am seriously considering a 2017 crew cab Tacoma to replace it. Stuck between a TRD off road or sport and can't decide color either.

Whatever I go with will eventually get a trd pro grille. Looking at silver, blue, inferno, or black.

So what would y'all do if you could re purchase your Tacoma? Also, any must have options I should spring for. Want to keep it under 36k. I have seen a lot around that price and have gotten an OTD of 34k from a couple dealers

    Any suggestions appreciated.

wouldn't change a thing. absolutely love mine

TRD off road double cab short box
    magnetic grey metallic.

I would love the extra cargo space of a 6ft bed but the 5ft bed is so much better on the trails. that 12 inches really makes a difference

Quicksand...I love that color more and more every day. I have the white sport in manual. So much fun, just wish I had quicksand especially here in AZ

I ordered what I wanted so I am happy with the model, if Cement had been an available color I probably would have chosen that but MGM is still a sharp color.

Thanks for the replies. Still undecided. Love the blue or silver in trd off road but black and inferno in sport are calling my name as well...

I love my trd sport. I have the double cab with the 5ft box and manual transmission. Its fun to drive and although i dont have the rear locker, i dont really miss the mts or crawl cus its a manual. You do get alot of creature comforts with the sport that are sacraficed for the rear locker... but in the end it depends on what you wanna do with it. I wish i could have gotten the locker and or tires with the sport options... but tires will be changed anyway!

What creature comforts does the Sport have that the Off Road doesn't not? OR Manual gets ATRAC in place of Crawl Control.

Probably would have gotten Inferno or Quicksand and added JBL.

I have the canadian version not sure if its different for those south of the border but the sport here has blindspot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, sunroof, 17" alloys, hood scoop ( yeah i know), front air dam, and a more road tuned suspension ( although i dont think its much of a difference to be honest). Trd off road gets some armour , 16" tires , rear locker and if you have the automatic multiterrain select and crawl control... i think they have atrac as well which is nice. I wanted a stick shift so i wasnt getting alot of that anyway...

My opinion, Blue looks better on the Off Road, Inferno looks better on the Sport.
Black is good looking on either one.
If you are going to do any off roading then the OR is the best choice money wise. If you are looking to pick up chicks, well, can't go wrong either way there. I do like the handling of the Sport better, but I come from a motorcycle, ATV, background, I love the feel of hugging the corners.

My Off Road has the Premium and Tech Package so it has the same creature comforts, maybe it is different in Canadian Models.

Don't go with the sport, if the hood is what you like... just purchase one or try to trade someone, as the hood is cheaper than a rear locker which the Off road comes equipped with
