Thanks Putz~ it's an A.R.E. MX series. I got this model to have more room in back to carry stuff since I have the SB. Makes it a bit harder to carry long things like canoes etc, but I like it a lot. I will sort out how to make it level for carrying stuff on the rack, so glad I went this route.

I'm trying to imagine what one would look like on my inferno.

I love my TRD Sport, my only regret is not getting a long bed.

    Like, so many.
Exactly the same here. I actually had a Sport but got in an accident and opted for an OR. I think the OR is a better value.

I like to keep mine spotless too, and its not that hard. White doesn't show scratches or scuffs, and it gives me a chance to be ADD about cleaning it once or twice a week. :)

I have no regrets about the trim/package I went with ... however everything is a compromise. I wanted a manual OR with a long bed, but that wasn't an option ... so I settled for the short bed, which has proven to be a real benefit for offroading. I camp a lot so it would have been very convenient to just add a cap and build a platform, but since I have the short bed I added a bed rack and an RTT. People talk a lot about the locker but I actually do off road quite a bit, and I have yet to use the locker in the 18 months I've had my truck ... just haven't needed it. I don't encounter mud frequently so maybe if you do it might be more important. When I air down and put it in 4LO it just goes up and over whatever is in front of it. The few times I've had some wheel slippage I've just used ATRAC and that's been more than enough. Can always add an ARB air locker later ...

The only other configuration that seemed attractive to me would be the Access Cab Sport Manual ... you get a good platform, a 6-foot bed and the 6-speed MT. Question is do you have a need to haul passengers or would you rather be able to sleep in the bed? Also, I really enjoy Quicksand ... for the part of the country I roam around it is most suited to blend in with the environment. If I still lived in Michigan, I would go with white for snow camo. Pacific Northwest? I would say cement or dark grey. Urban? Black or Inferno ... I do wish there was an olive or dark green available ... I can't see the justification to have Inferno and Barcelona in the same lineup ... too similar IMO.

Lastly ... Entune is garbage ... but heated seats are nice ... the wireless charging is basically worthless, and I rarely ever use the blindspot alert or the parking sonar. The 7" display is nice for the back-up cam though ...

Whatever you go with, just make it yours. My main advice is pick what's most important to you, and get exactly that. I had to search for six months from late '15 into March of '16 to find a Quicksand TRD OR MT with Premium Tech. It was worth it. I love this truck.

I'd get exactly what I have now. White DCSB MT. I originally wanted the same truck, but in either quicksand or silver. I ended up with white, which was my 3rd color choice. I've grown to love the white.

I thought about scratches and is why I test drove the white. My 2014 was magnetic grey and showed minor scratches badly. Damn Neighbors cat and bosses son mowing the lawn and slinging gravel. I use to work in a paint booth and use to color match my primer to my paint to avoid scratches showing on the cabinets. Why can't they do that to vehicles. I've already got two small gravel dings on passenger front fender. Can't have nothing nice do to others lack of carelessness. If I had to do it again it would be hard to choose between inferno, white and quicksand which I forgot about when I purchased mine.

Wow! Didn't think I'd get this many replies. Appreciate all the info. Sounds like the OR might be a better option. South Carolina roads are garbage! Anyone know what the tech package costs? Wouldn't mind a sunroof. Also why are some interiors orange accented and others not?

Leaning towards that bud light blue but hard to find in my area.

Thanks again for all the responses.

You won't regret the off-road. You might not need the crawl control or the multi-terrain now. But when you do, you'll be glad you have it and also the off-road has 16" wheels which is alot cheaper to replace the tires. And if you go one size larger, even cheaper yet.

One size larger, would that be 17s? Which, the sport comes with.

If I was single with no kiddos I would have done an access cab. Access cabs are sexy looking tacos.

Sorry, I meant one size larger tire. 265/75r16. Cheaper because it's more common. Alot of full size trucks run that size. Same with 265/70r17. It's more common so they sell it cheaper.
