What are some of the mistakes you made in your builds and what would you have done differently?

    Here’s a few of mine:

I installed 4.88 gears but wish I went with 5.29 gears.

Have a SSO front bumper and then added the stage two’s later on but wish I would have gone with a full bumper to begin with.

And wish I didn’t get the package with the JBL system. Didn’t realized how crappy the JBL system sounds.

Idk, it’s all been a learning experience. I’ve changed multiple things multiple times, but happy with where my truck is at.

first taco and first vehicle mods. Came from bikes and harleys so can’t say too much bad but the money I’ve put in could definitely bought another Harley

Bigger tires. I replaced the stock 245/75/16 Toyo's with the same size hybrid Cooper A/TW but should have gone to the 265/75/16 instead. When these are done, that's what I'll do next time. Other than that I'm happy with my Barcelona red SR5. :)

I don't like bump steer, stock rides better. Level arms, level tie rods etc. I would never run 285's and tires are truly what lifts the truck, so the 31.8" tires are good enough for me.

The only mistake I made was buying an automatic.

after getting rid of that, my MT build is pretty much perfect and dialed in.

I haven’t had anything major I’ve done and changed. Just a couple small things as my needs changed.

    this and that...
nothing. cause i already knew what i wanted. i have a long history of messing around with toyotas, not to mention this is my third taco. all my "mistakes" were rectified from previous builds. lets just say that the other two tacos were blueprints to what i really wanted out of a tacoma. now? to me my sport is almost perfect, only a couple pieces missing.

Yeah this isn't the best place to hang out if you were not planning on spending any money, lol.
