I suppose that by your logic, unless you are specifically charging your phone only at home, you are "stealing" power from a wall socket in an airport, on a ferry, or worse, from work! Drinking water from the tap at work would technically be stealing as well, since the company has to pay for water.
To quote myself, I said "pretty much free", if I can pay for 80km's of range by picking up and returning 20 or so soda cans on the side of the road during that 80km drive, then yes, to me, it's pretty much free.
Alternatively, and although it would take a long time, I could plug in the truck charging system to a solar panel, or have solar panels on my house that feed back into the grid as well as power my house, which would technically make the power "free" after paying for the panels.
Keep it light hearted out there!

You're stealing from the sun. Stop stealing from the sun.

My new answer is I'd go with a Sienna engine. 245 hp I4 hybrid. Will probably get 30mpg and return my truck to the underwhelming engine experience of those I used to drive in the 80s and 90s. Nostalgia, bitches!

Used to drive trucks that rode like trucks for work…damn glad the Tacoma is more car like than truck like, one of the reasons I started buying Toyotas all those years ago. Refreshing to jump into that after a long day being bounced around in dump trucks and earthmoving equipment.

All I’m saying is if the 3rd Gen came with the option to either have the 3.5L or 4.0L, I know which one most people would choose

I had a 65 Ford F100 step side with the 300 straight 6. Absolutely bullet proof. After I sold it to a friends brother (Stupid move) I saw it around San Diego for at least another 15 years.

The 4.0 has 12 less hp, and only 1 more ft lbs tq, but ok… I have driven it, it isn’t at all what people make it to be. It makes peak torque at 4000 rpm, while the 3.5 at 4600, guess that extra 600 rpm is just too much effort for some, both are revvy engines compared to a turbo diesel/gasser. I almost never drive it at peak torque, generally cruise around 1500 rpm, so I don’t see what all the fuss is about, has plenty of power for me.

Only thing I like better about the 4.0 is that the oil filter is easier to get to.

    The SCORE!

    (Stratified Charge Omnivorous Rotary Engine.)
A Wankel that will run off of diesel, jet-A, kerosene, and gasoline with simple fuel control adjustments.
You can stack rotors from 1 to 5 (engine bay would limit any more, I think).
Torquie lil' bitches that will run forever!

Haven't seen one one advertised since the early '90s, but they were working great then. Failure to pass emission test is what shot them down.
One rotor would make a generator. Five would power light aircraft. Everything else is in between.
