Well I am 5ft 8in and here is how I get into my truck.

    #1 Open door.
#2 Lift up right foot and push up slightly.
#3 in one swoop lift up left foot and scoot into the seat.

My mom is 5ft tall and when she comes down to visit I have never seen her use the hand rail either. She just gets in the seat in similar fashion. My step dad who is about 5ft tall also drives a 2nd gen taco and he gets in same way I do.

Here is #10 to add to my previous list:
In bed of truck there are lips wide enough to rest 2x4 boards on stretching from rear of bed to tailgate. Unfortunately at some point it stops about a foot before the tailgate... err... why? I want that lip stretched out either all the way to the tailgate or end square instead of diagonally towards the tailgate. In my truck I have camper shell and divider separating scuba tanks and scuba gear via 2x4s and platform where I can sleep. I had to do some jerry rigging SPECIFICALLY because that lip did not extend far enough.

I have what one would call the SR5. Top of the line truck available with the 4 banger. Unless it is hidden or has to be turned on somehow, I don't have one on my little 4 cyl that I have seen.

Wish there were more options for 4 cyl customers.

I don't know if the new ones have it as an option but a sunroof in the DC would be great. And heated mirrors. My VW had them and I never thought much about them until reading peoples posts. will have to adjust for this winter.

if everyone had their way with features suggested in this thread...

the newest Tacoma would sell for for 50K.

anything over 30-31K, and I'm out.
