Its what meets your needs. Tundra and tacoma gas mileage is close. For me, go with the tundra.

If 14 combined in a bone stock 2wd tundra on a good day is your idea of close to the 18.5 I get w/ a 4wd hauling around 200 lbs of carcass and 500 lbs of gear then you sir are living on another planet. Probably just California.

hard to say, the Tacoma is great. I just wish they had another option for a bigger or factory boosted option for more HP. I feel that is the only piece really missing.

Well after owning my taco for almost 9 years. If I could do it again I would get a tundra and s\c it with supporting mods. But thats not going to happen, new tundra is fugly IMO plus no s\c. Now days I'm thinking of trading for a GMC Sierra w\6.2 but the 50k price tag keeps me at bay.

50k is because they only offer in the top trim package. I would consider a Silverado if I could get the 6.2 in an LT. 20 mpg on hwy sure beats Tundras 17 plus more power and a locker.

Tacoma . I looked at a Tundra , drove it , just felt to big and bulky for my liking .
