I love my taco, but I'm leaning toward getting a second truck. I think it's gonna be a tundra.image.jpg image.jpg

Not a fan of Tundras. Maybe I'm the only one?

I just like them loaded, but couldn't afford them loaded like I would like.

Drove a customers truck yesterday and the MPG read out showed an average of 8.9MPG. Yea.. no...

I love the platinum 14's but I'd probably go with a domestic that uses cylinder deactivation or a small turbo.

Tundra is made in San Antone. That is pretty domestic. I have read some bad things about GMs with cylinder deactivation but maybe they have fixed them.

Meh.. if taco didnt change it looks and engine, i might do it again. I like my 14 taco, it meet my needs except few spot where a full size would do. Gas mileage is ok. I may go to full size down the road, it may not be the tundra.
As of today, i racked up 49730 miles on my 14 taco.

    Just bought it!
Unless he makes a habit of pulling trailers daily to get that average, there's something wrong with that truck. I live in an extremely hilly city and have a remote starter that burns gas for 15 minutes before I leave for work and before I come home all winter, I'm never on the highway, and I still get around 13. Anything lower than that(that doesn't involve a trailer or driving in New York city traffic daily), means something is wrong.

Tundra's look great decked out but when I test drove and 2015 SR5 the inside was nice enough but not the outside was fugly. That's what pushed me to the Tacoma. Love my taco and if needs be I drag my 5x8 trailer for any supply runs. $400 is a cheap mod for extra space.

I don't know that I would ever buy another full size unless my fishing sled dictates it.

Mine averaged 16.1 stock and now 14.0 with lift wheels and tires. Best every has been 20 something on a 65mph road trip, worst was about 10 going 90 into a headwind for several hours. That owner must have had horrible habits getting 8 something. My commute is mostly city

I already own a 2015 Tundra Pro but just picked up a 2016 Tacoma Off Road after trading in my work car (2014 Subaru Legacy).

In stock form I would agree with you. Although I've seen some modded Tundras that are really nice. I like what @JLee has done with his. Mostly though I just don't have a need for a full size.

Yeah, I don't see a time when I will need a full-size. However, even if I did, I think the F series would likely win. That's before any heavy research, though - just initial reactions.

We are at almost Colorado elevation where I am, and its constantly cold so many people use remote starts and 4x4. It's part of our calculation for mileage, we never see near listed mileage in my city unless its highway in the summer. Best my Taco has gotten so far is 19mpg.

Plus our gas is 1-1.50 a liter. Double that of most american states. Tacoma is a great choice for me haha.
