I read somewhere that there is an option for a 36 gallon fuel tank in recent Tundra models. Is this true?

Tacoma. I won't consider the Tundra until it gets the Updates that it needed a few years ago.

I just traded a 15 tundra crewmax for a 17 tacoma offroad double cab long bed. The main reason was that the tundra was just too big. I didnt mind too much, but my wife scared the crap out of me driving it. I had the 5.7 liter and that was great, but the transmission sucked. I have driven quite a few chevy turbo 350s 3 speed trucks and they were all smoother than the toyota 6 speed. I also got driveline vibes on certain hills and the bed hop was terrible on that thing. My other big gripe with the crewmax is the lack of storage. I like to keep tools, some warm clothes and trail recovery gear in my truck at all times. The crewmax has very little room for it. I had the cavernous center console full and all of the space behind the rear seat packed full, but still had to carry a large plastic tote in the truck or truck bed to carry all of the stuff I wanted. I was able to fit all of that into the built in storage in my double cab taco except for the sleeping bag. Another gripe with the crewmax was the seats. I had the convenience package with the "bucket" seats and I think my couch has more lateral support. I took the taco out on some trails yesterday when I got home from the dealership and it seems to have a much tighter turning radius. It's narrower width is much easier to deal with as well. My wife hasn't driven the new truck yet as I tend to buy things like that when she is on vacation, but I have to think it will be easier for her to drive in traffic if she needs to. This will make it a lot easier to take the tundra on road trips because I won't have to drive the whole time. I also like the nav and stereo are laid out on the tacoma and the extra features like dual zone climate control, heated seats, and sunroof are nice to have.

Considering I have a bigger truck than a Tundra already that gets better mpg than a tundra has more torque and can tow way more, a Powerstroke, I would definitely go with Tacoma, again.

I traded a 2015 limited Tundra in for my 2016 limited Tacoma. I like the interior and sound system of my Tacoma better. I also like the gas mileage of the Tacoma over the Tundra. The only thing I regret about the switch is the transmission / engine combo with the tune from Toyota makes the Tacoma feel very underpowered at times.

The F150 is coming out with a Power Storke Diesel on top of the ecoboost options which I am interested in seeing how it works out.

I came very close to getting an f150 over my little tacoma, I am a big ford guy but I just wanted to be different than everybody else. I also heard the new f150 diesels are just going to use a land rover diesel... I will pass.

Yeah I had a 2012 F-150 with the 3.5 Exoboost. I had it running a Southern Speed tune and it ran a 13.9 1/4 mile at 101 mph here in Colorado. I was afraid that the turbos would need replaced if I kept running it so hard but without the time it felt horrible so I traded it in.

I've still got my 1st Gen Tundra. The most bullet proof car or truck I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. Well I say I have it, I just gave it to my son. So the 2017 Tundra was obviously my first choice, until I drove it. But I would have bought the Raptor if was wasn't so dam big. (size was also one of the complaints about the Tundra). If I did it again, I'd buy the exact same thing.

i sold my Tundra to get my Tacoma.......the gas mileage on the Tundra was starting to get to me. I also dont like what they did with the front end of the newly designed Tundras. I sure do miss the power I got from the 5.7 though!

And that's the complete opposite that's making me think about a Tundra. My buddy in his 2017 Tundra TRD Pro is getting better gas mileage than me in my Tacoma. I average 16mpg in my Tacoma. He's getting better than that in his Tundra- most of the time. I have never seen above 20mpg in my Tacoma. Towing a 1250lb trailer I got 12mpg.

I have three friends with Tundra's but I chose the Tacoma, just fit my needs better and I like the looks better. As they say, opinions are like bellybuttons, everyone has one! Why, some people even hate the quicksand color, crazy I know but they are out there!

What's the difference between a Tacoma and a Tundra you asked? You get a better view with a Tacoma.
