Why what was the failure point? I’ve never owned a Honda. But in SoCal, I witness 80’s Toyota’s and 80’s Honda’s still rolling around like it was still 1982.

I would still be driving the Nissan Juke ( which is what my wife has now ) and she would be in either a Camry or either a Honda or Toyota small SUV. But, I've never taken an interest in any vehicle when vehicle shopping and when we were able to afford something nice and she saw how drawn in I was to the Taco, she let me have her turn at a new vehicle ( we only have one car payment at a time ).

Tundra or a 4runner for sure. I’m currently debating selling my truck for a new 4runner

The auto trans cars loved to shell the transmissions. And they were on backorder for over a year.

Tailgate is a nice feature, I find myself wanting that on the Taco quite often. The cooler is just, meh, but the comfort of the RL is top notch. I just wasn't impressed with the tow capacity of the Front wheel drive and getting the AWD jumped the price up more than what I wanted. Of course, that was when they first came out and negotiations were not happening. I went to look at them when the first and only two at the time, came in near me.

I was wondering if the Ridgeline was going to come up in this thread, heh. I debated between a 2019 Ridgeline and a 2019 Taco HEAVILY. The current gen Ridgeline is essentially the anti-truck, truck and on paper it beats the Tacoma in a lot of areas. With that said though, ultimately it was the lack of ground clearance, lack of a 6' bed option and lack of aftermarket support that made me decide on a Tacoma. I'm about 1.5 months in with the Tacoma and love it so far, but I still ponder that Ridgeline every now and then. I don't even do any traditional "wheeling" (mostly just pretty well maintained dirt roads with the occasional rougher one), but the lack of ground clearance really worried me on the Ridgeline. If I only needed an around town hauler and knew I wouldn't be going on anything off road more than a very smooth dirt road though, I'd probably be driving a Ridgeline right now...

No low-range on Ridgeline would be a huge deal breaker for me, plus unibodies suck for road noise and harshness over rough asphalt.

It's basically a Honda Pilot truck...

Someone on HondaTech swapped a 2.4 K-series into a 3rd Gen prelude and the old-honda-nerd portion of my brain can't stop thinking about it

Probably a burrito or enchilada. I do love the chicken enchiladas with a fried egg on top. Hard to beat that.

    If I didn’t drive a taco, I’d probably get a ranger.

About 26k less than an 802a 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. Haha. I’d probably never get the ZR2 Bison it just sounds neat, again, diesel option and front and rear lockers.
