If you don't have a spring compressor... should you just do front coilovers?

Everybody recommends Bills and OME Coils, but if you're willing to spend a little more money does it make sense to just do front coilovers?

No, no, no to the Dakars.

For the rear, ADS 2.0 smooth body 14" travel. Shock relocation using ford shock towers and chevy 63" leaf springs so you can flex like this...

    (That's a 35" tire by the way)

Really the best answer though for someone afraid of a shock and spring combo due to the lack of a spring compressor?

lol. Spend the extra $100 to have them assembled or spend $1200 more on coilovers... not really a trade off cost IMO

Shops in Missouri get really sketchy when you ask them to touch aftermarket parts. A lot of guys won't touch it. They don't want the liability.

You can order them pre assembled.

Haha. I've done it before. I just remember it being a pain in the ass. I just wanted to hear what some guys thought about coil overs for the money.

Don't need a spring compressor to remove coil springs. I've done it several times this way. It's easy and safe.

Coilovers are by far the best for ride quality and adjustability.

And the majority of coilovers out there are going to be rebuildable, while the OME and Bilstein setups would need to be replaced once worn.

Don't let a shop touch anything. Save the money and do it yourself. Takes 4 hours to do in your driveway.

If you're going from stock shocks to 5100s, the shock body is longer on the 5100s so you can just put a jack under the LCA and push the shock up as high as it needs to go before putting the nut on. However, if you're adding new OME coils or something similar where the springs are doing the lifting, you may run out of "jacking up space."

Nope. Plenty of room for both.

Perfect, I was starting to wonder myself. Probably will do a mild spring lift on top my 5100s later this year
