If you don't prime your oil filters..........

It might even triple! With more oil there is more cooling capacity so your oil doesn't break down as fast due to heat. Thus increasing the longevity of the oil. There are definetly no negative affects to adding more than what is recommended or what it was engineered to have.

 

I don't either fill the sump with oil screw the filter on start it up.

 

After putting that on how much time did you take off your 1/4 mile?

I’ll take my steak cooked as done as anyone would want their chicken cooked… I get laughed at in restaurants when that’s my response. “How would you like that steak cooked sir?..” “ like you cook damn chicken for Pete’s sake!”

I also fill my oil filter full of unfiltered (out of the bottle) oil. Unfiltered oil is better than no oil. I also have an oil filter relocation kit on my truck, so I don’t spill any oil, but the engine will get some air bubbles in the oil on first start, because of the lines being full of air.

I have seen plugs for diesel engine fuel filters for the outlet hole. You plug the outlet, and prime through the inlet.

 

Fun fact or experience. I went to Ireland a few years ago and found out they must all be freedom hating comies! I tried to order a burger rare and the waitress told us they must cook it all the way through BY LAW! NO RED ALLOWED!!! Hearing this I just felt terribly sad that they are unable to eat their burgers the superior way and thought about how much meat they have ruined over the last century! It is truly sad!
