    Gentlemen,

I am desperately in need of and searching for an older version of Entune software update applicable for 2016-2018 Entune Premium Audio Head Units.

This update was introduced in the original Toyota Technical Service Bulletin (T-SB-0103-16 attached) and was superseded later.
Yes, I am aware it is an old update and there are several newer updates, but I specifically need that older one and would really appreciate if someone who still has that .KWI file stored on his hard drive, shares it with me.

That update was available at Toyota Downloads, but not anymore.

The update (the file) that I am looking for is: 13TDANNA-DA11_0130.kwi
This file is about 170MB and it should not take more than 10 minutes to upload the file to any available file share.

There is also a pretty good possibility that this file exists on your Toyota Maps microSD card.
Depending on the version of your Toyota Maps, this file may (or may not) be found on your microSD card in the ..\PANA directory.

I have posted a similar message to many other Toyota forums, but didn't hear back yet from anyone. Hopefully this forum is the last stop and I will find what I am looking for to fix the annoying problem that I have.
Huge thanks to those who will decide to check his archives/microSD card and get back to me! I truly appreciate your time and I mean it.

I was just curious what the latest update was?

I haven’t had an update in about a year. I didn’t think software engineers could go that long without jonesing for an app update. LoL

unless Toyota is a sell it and forget type company?

Thanks for checking the thread, Amanelot. At this point I prefer not to elaborate much on the problem details.
I can assure you that if you are running one of the later updates, then you would not have this issue, as Toyota fixed several bugs in the later .KWI updates.
Because of the specifics of my configuration/setup, I need this old _130.KWI file to be able properly proceed with the later updates.

Thank you again! And have a good weekend.

The latest update for 2016-2018 trucks available via TIS subscription (I do not have one, I just know it exists) is _160.kwi. This number is only good for Entune Premium Audio Head Units. The Entune Plus and Basics use other numbering.
From my experience, if you are on _146.kwi version -- you should be good. Do not try to go for the highest number automatically. The latest is not always (unfortunately) the greatest.

    Apollo14,

My request was only about 2016-2018 model year. That is what I specified in the very first message of this thread.
I believe (based on the picture that you provided) that your truck is 2019 model year (or at least has 2019 Head Unit). I do not know what is the latest version for those models are. Perhaps the latest file for your truck will be _161.kwi, but do not quote me on this... better to do your own research. I just do not know much about 2019+ models to give you a definite answer.

Thanks for checking anyway! Stay safe and healthy, man!

P.S. You still have 2 years warranty to go. Those updates that I am talking about are available for free for the first 3 years. Toyota dealership should be installing it for you if you request and provide them with enough evidence of specific issue. Again.. My advice is do not update unless you have problem to fix. Sometimes with new updates you will get new problems.
