If I had a $5000 I was allowed to spend only on my truck, and everything else on the truck still in good to acceptable condition I'd probably get the Magnuson Supercharger kit.

The same shit everyone else has.
5000$ on a stock truck or is there stuff already modified? Is the truck 2wd or 4wd? TRD OR/SPORT/SR5? What do you plan on doing with the truck? Youll get 2000 different answers on here....

If I had 5000$ and was going to buy stuff based on my truck (4wd TRD OR) and what I planned on doing with it (hunting, fishing, camping), Id do 5100s all around, taller front coil springs, adjustable upper control arms, 3 leaf add-a-leaf, wheel spacers, and a set of A/T tires. Id put the rest in the bank or towards truck payments.

If the truck was 2wd/non TRD OR, Id do the same things mentioned above but would also do a rear locker.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
The sensible part of me says to pay off what I've already done and use the left over for a front bumper, lights, and a few other small things. But what would end up happening is 4:88's, a front locker and the front bumper.

That's about what I have in mods. 3" lift, UCA's, wheels, 33x12.50 tires, tire rack over bed with matching spare. Only thing I would do different is 17" wheels instead of 20"

I'd get ARB front and rear lockers and air compressor. Then new front shocks and springs. Any leftover money would toward a winchbumper I think.

I think winch bumper is more practical, but if 5000 dropped in my lap I'd go impractical first. :militarypress:

This is a pretty unfair question, I think. $5k doesn't really buy a whole lot when it boils down to fantasies and most of us have spent that and more and can still easily spend another $5k. Damn, I will always be truck poor.

Probably the mod of paying down the truck lol.

But really, Full set of skids, and long travel suspension first. If anything's left over some 35"s

My truck is 10 years old now. I'd use the $5k to restore the interior, headlights, paint etc.

For $5000 I would do the "bank account deposit" modification. It is extremely profitable but somehow very unpopular -- it's one of the few modifications that don't cost anything but actually increase the value of your truck! Amazing!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Use the money to buy a dirt bike or go on a vacation or something.

An extra set of wheels and tires so I can have summer mudders and winter snows. AT does neither as well as specialty tires would. Now I have 3K left. That's about what my 2 week Baja trip cost...see ya!
