Those Mahindras or whatever they're called are going to be pretty interesting. Supposed to be coming States side within a couple of years too!

I'd take a UNIMOG. Maybe the U5000. 4cyl turbo diesel, 220hp, 600 ftlb torque. Think I could live with that.

Had an 07' Frontier before my Taco, nice truck and all but the turning radius was enough to make me go insane! Never seen anything this bad

Interesting build quality, yes. You'll find that India doesn't build vehicles that are anywhere near our expectations.

Do you mean that they build better than what we would expect ?

A friend of mine has the Frontier and really loves it, so I looked but I liked the Tacoma better. I had two Dodge Rams a Ford Explorer and a F150, before getting my Tacoma and I think it is the best truck I have had.

Id say it would be a tossup between a Nissan Frontier and a Honda Ridgeline. It would definetly be a riceburner though. No way would I buy a domestic!

My buddy has a Colorado with the inline 5...that thing is a POS!!!!! Has N power whatsoever, sounds like crap and the interior is always falling apart. Im getting sick of picking him up from the dealership when he has it worked on! I would NEVER buy one of these.

In fact I was contemplating this nightmere (having to replace my 99) the other day, due to the possible frame rot issue. I wa dissapointed because nothing really compares. The closest were I think the frontier and the Dakota (mostly because of the available V8). Luckily it turns out my frame is fine!:)

If Nissan sourced their 4 cylinders from Toyota, I would own a Frontier. I presently own a Tacoma and drove a Frontier 4 cylinder several times in the past and feel the Fontier's suspension is better suited for truck purposes. The Frontier seats were excellent with great support. Gearbox was smooth, quiet and quick shifting. Tailgates are tough enough to put loads on.....! If the Frontier had the 2.7 from my Tacoma, it would be perfect, plus the Frontier has correct truck gearing to use the power available.

i just saw this thread and voted. i would have to say i would get a frontier. mostly because you can put titan a-arms on it and with uniball uca's and extended travel coilovers get a good mid-long travel setup.

have you ever driven a dakota? like the ones from the early 90s? those things have HORRIBLE turning radius. HORRIBLE !!!!!!

it makes a dump truck look maneuverable...i swear those things have a 50 something foot turning radius

It was a Tacoma or a Tundra. Period.

No other choice even entered my mind. The Tacoma was the only small truck I'd consider, and the one I bought is so large a bigger truck wasn't necessary for me.
