Diesel Colorado 4 door and 6’ bed. But they look pretty dorky in any color.

I’m just not a fan of many pickup trucks (styling) at the moment in my price range.

If it doesn’t have to be new I’d be driving an 80’s 3/4 ton Chevy crew cab and an 8’ bed.

    - A Subaru Crosstex (IF: I could have found a MT and it had about 20% more HP)

    - A base WRX with some basic mods to make it more off road ish, but not racer or hard core rally look. (BUT the insurance on it was crazy, almost 75% more than my brand new 3rd gen. And I get very good rates. Insurance agent said it’s all about statistics. WRX has high % of accidents and repair costs far exceed the average)

I'd buy a Lexus GX470. A bit on the ugly side, but built to last!

When I was Tacoma shopping in 2008, the other two vehicles I seriously considered were the FJ Cruiser and Honda Element (AWD).

I am not kidding: Honda Ridgeline IF it came with a MT. If not, some beater with a stickshift.

Although I have Always been a Toyota fan, 1995, 2014, 2016. The 2016 Tacoma blew me out of Toyota waters. I am now rocking a Ridgeline and absolutely love it. I still like the look of the Tacoma but that's about it. Tried the Ranger for about a year and decided I wanted a unibody for a better ride. Honda has the only pick up with a unibody Huge difference in comfort and ride. The 2021 is better looking but its still a Ridgeline.....LOL I don't care for the Tupperware around the fenders but I found out that's an option thankfully.

Probably my Grandma’s 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited; In 2012 it only had 36K miles on it, and she sold it for $3,500!

At the rate I drive my Tacoma, if I’d bought that Buick and had it now, I’d probably be close to 140K miles; Still low for a 20-year old car!

Since I was deliberately in the market for a smaller pickup, I likely would have ended up with a Colorado, a Frontier, or one of the new Rangers.

I probably would have hung onto my little Mazda3 with the 6 speed. I miss that car for the economy.
