I definitely will- with pics, etc. I am using it for a work truck and daily commuter, and I probably will never do any offroading in it beyond some camping, so I wanted all the pretty bells and whistles.

As far as the thread, I started a new one hoping to have a clean, simple answer FROM PEOPLE WHO LIKED THE 2016 ENOUGH TO HAVE PURCHASED ONE as to when they have been told their delivery date based on their location to see if there was a pattern-- NOT to get people's opinion on what they do and don't like about the '16. There are more than enough threads full of that.

Thanks, and I appreciate your effort with this thread. The forum has been brutal to you guys, unfairly so. I've stated my opinion of the front end, and it will honestly take me some time to adjust to it; but I also stated up front, when the first reveal pics came out, that I could see myself in one of those DCSB Limiteds. I need 4WD for Winter here, but I have a UTV and ATVs for off-roading. I too want to treat myself to the bells and whistles when time comes for my next, and probably last truck. It'll still be a Tacoma and likely the Ltd model.

Thank you again, and sorry you're having to tolerate the trash in your thread.

Ordered MGM Limited today and was told to expect it end of November beginning of December. Seems a bit excessive to me.

Sorry about your thread. I was hoping it would be a lot more informative than it turned out. My understanding of the process is that toyota rolls these out by region starting from west coast to east. I would expect them to be built in exactly the mix that they expect them to sell, as that is most efficient from a production standpoint. They aren't going to initially build just DC TRD models just because they are the volume movers. Toyota can only build about 500 trucks per day so it may take some time for inventories to build up. They'll probably catch up over winter when sales numbers are traditionally lower.

Put money down August first. On 9/2 was told build date was 9/1, expect delivery best case 4, worst case 6 weeks. Hoping it ends up being about a 3 week gap, as it seems to be what most are told.

Boom! I love it- thank you! I am glad that we are all individuals with a unique opinion, but there are more productive uses of life force than trolling. No need to sh*t in everyone else's cereal bowl. I do love the 1st and 2nd gens, but having never owned one yet I found the advantage in buying the newest generation. It may not have solved everything that everyone would have liked to change about previous generations, but it did move the ball forward and you can't please all the people all the time. I say, if you want a truck built to your exact personal specifications- build/mod it yourself, hire a custom shop, or start your own damn car company. Complaining that a worldwide, $239 billion company isn't paying attention to your personal opinion is a waste of energy. Trolling fellow Taco enthusiasts to address the same issue is even worse.

We used a '91 SR5 (?) as a very abused workhorse for years at my last job, and it NEVER quit or hesitated. I fell in love with the Toyota truck then, but did not realize there was this awesome underground Taco movement-- I love it and am hooked! I can't stop thinking about this damn truck, and can't wait to take my boys camping.

Oh I didn't mention my zero gen '93 pickup, did I? It was totalled by a fallen tree limb. Never had a prob otherwise for 214,000 miles.

My truck has a build date of 9/19 and will be delivered mid October. It will be the most grueling wait.

Original build date for DCSB TRD OR was 9/12. Emailed the dealer this morning just to check in and it has been moved to October 6th. The dealer didn't have any additional information about the reason for the change.
