If not for the terrible fuel economy, I'd say Tundra. Since that's a factor, though, I'd go with a 2017+ Titan. I loved my 5.0 diesel XD, but the 5.6 is much less temperamental and gets better mileage than a comparable Tundra thanks to a smaller rear axle ratio.

Probably another F-150 5.0 2019-2020. Someday in the not so distant future I want to get a regular cab/standard bed F150 5.0 with the 9.75 rear in 4x4. With some tuning and a few bolt-ons they can be really good sleepers. The 2019 F150 5.0 FX4 crew cab I had a few months back was tuned and running E85 and that thing was way faster than it should be. I never draggy'd it but it would surprise my friends that rode in it with me. Damn good truck.

    Like, so many.
    I'd probably go F150.

F-2-fiddy. I had good experience with one for years as a work truck in Alaska. I love the sound of lighting one off at 40 below. Clickly Clack

F-150 reg-cab 5.0, it's the truck I was looking at when I bought my 3rd Taco. Decided to stick with the proven recipe.

As a Ford dealer tech it would be a 2013-2017 F150 crew cab 6.5 foot bed 3.7L or 5.0L with a 6 speed auto.

I went back to a truck traded my 4runner Pro in for the last year 21 Tundra Pro. Had a couple of tacomas in the past. Loved them but I jumped to the tundra because I never had a full size truck. I’m not going to lose money if I decide it’s too big and go back to a Tacoma Pro.

Might be getting a 27FB Airstream which will need a bigger tow vehicle.

Looking at the 2022+ Sierra AT4 or Denali with the Duramax as the potential or another 1/2 ton diesel.

Not going to tow 6k lbs on the regular with a turbo gas motor again (had a 2012 F-150 EB that got about 5.5-6mpg towing a 30' TT)

I had a 2018 F-150 regular cab XLT FX4 with the 5.0 and 10 speed. Truck is unreal. Only thing that made me go back to the Taco was I now have a couple more grandkids and occasionally need more seating. I got 21.9 mpg on a daily 60 mile round trip drive and it’ll still blow the doors off about just about any truck and a lot of cars on the road. If it weren’t for pricing, I would’ve gone to the extra cab or quad cab 150. Didn’t want to carry any loans so I sold it and got the Taco. Which I don’t regret, especially since I knew what it getting into anyway.

But I do miss that Coyote…

Man I'd love one of those POS Rams sent through AEV and given a major overhaul if I didn't have monetary concerns.

Tundra, Dodge Cummins, and Titan are the only choices really imo.

Edit: F150 if I found the right deal isn't bad either. Wouldn't be in my first 3 choices though.

NOT an F-150 5.0. What I came from. Dam thing burned more oil than gas. Oil consumption test - Ford determined acceptable. Ford fooled me once...not twice.

The trail boss is a gimmick. The 5.7L Tundra is very nice though.

Well it looks like you’ve got quite a bit of mileage left in your ‘03. BTW, I’m still on my original front brakes.
