I loved my Tacoma but after 16 years I traded it in on a Tundra. Had to keep it in the Toyota family.

Those powerboosts have just been sitting on the lots at dealers around my area. Not selling very well.
TFL actually got better towing mileage with a RAM Hemi than they did with a Powerboost in a recent video.

Interesting, there were only two within 100 miles when I bought mine that were not lariat or platinum trim level. TFL didn’t put the truck in tow/ haul mode so I’m not really sure what to think there. I am getting sticker on the MPG at 24. We have 3,000 miles on it so far.

So far so good. I have a few gripes but it just comes with a smaller vehicle. I had the center console safe in my Silverado, the one for this taco is much smaller so I’m not sure if I would get the safe or the organizer like most have.

I miss a lot of the outlets inside the truck. My Silverado had the prong outlet (9v)? Where I could use a quick charge block. I see there is one in the bed but not sure what is used for. I couldn’t even get a hair dryer to run on it when taking off the stickers.

all in all, I feel more fitted in it. Took it to a drive in last night, put pillows and blankets in the bed and I didn’t fill it was too small. Watched two movies back to back very comfortably. Pretty excited to mod this truck.

You have to push the button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel to turn on the plug in the bed

Yeah I did, but it shut off not even 5 min. I guess hairdryers put out too many wattage. It’s 400 with the engine on and 120 with it off I think

Ram 2500 was my pick. Love it, way more than I loved my Tacoma. I purposely bought a single cab for the 8' bed, and with plans to shorten the truck one day. Only complaint is the DEF system. Truck parties with the Carli Suspension kit.

I wanted to love the Tundra but it made no sense with the crackhead gas prices + terrible MPG + needed to be regeared with any added weight or tire size. Covid pricing wasn't great either. The Tacoma got too heavy, the electronics were stupid, it was underpowered, and very small. I've owned all three generations, was just ready for something else. Still my favorite midsize truck.

Very nice!!!!! Did you had an antirock sway bar to the Carli suspension? Wish I had bought one mid 2018 before the manual option on the diesel went away.

I have the full carli pintop 2.5 kit with the carli: sway bar, both steering stabilizers, radius arms, and in the rear I have the thuren rear track bar. Best riding truck I've been in.

same with a 2005 Duramax, the paint is terrible, the head liner is falling, replaced window motor several times, half the switch lights don’t work, power seats have a short, the A/C works when it wants to. The truck drives great, no def, can’t feel the transmission shifting under load. I will keep this truck forever. I love the Tacoma, but when I need a real truck I need a real truck.

So nice! great setup!! never heard a bad thing about Carli setups.

I dislike the DEF system on my ZR2 diesel also, but a delete just seems like a big bag of challenges that i am not interested in taking on. I go through two 5 gallon jugs every 5000'ish miles or so i figure.
