I went with a 2021 ram rebel diesel and couldn’t be happier. Averaging 22 mpg and no issues. No hunting for gears and this thing has taken me everywhere my Tacoma took me.

I love my eco diesel. I actually got a huge price cut going with it over the hemi. Only thing to consider is oil changes will set you back at least a 150 bucks.

    A few.
I was tempted to go back to a fullsize because i sometimes missed the rumble of the Hemi V8 i had, but since i like my tacoma, i decided to buy an older Dodge Challenger RT with a Hemi as a second vehicle toy.

As time went on the general public decided (I.M.O. for looking cool reasons) that everyone needed a 4x4 pickup as a daily driver. Now, they want the m.p.g. of a sedan, all the comfort features of their living room, tech of a smart phone and ride of a Cadillac. On the other hand these midsized trucks need a payload and hauling capabilities of larger vehicles at a low price.

Right on, the only thing I would like us a bigger payload. A full size wouldn't fit in the garage. So I'm sticking with my Tacoma, besides it's as big as my first pickup "76 Silverado single cab long box. When I do haul it would be nice to have a 1200# payload over the 900 the current rating.

2.5th Gen Tundra, or previous generation Silverado; It seems like all major manufacturers, both foreign and domestic, are in a contest to see can you see who can make the ugliest full-size pickup, though for some reason smaller pickups still look normal!

So technically a 5-speed? In 1989 you could still get a 3-speed with a granny low on those trucks by special order!

It was marketed as a 4sp with O.D. and 5th/O.D. was really only good for flat roads or interstate highways.
