Hmm Pay off the house (need to maintain a mailing address). Buy a 45ish ft sailboat to cruise. Buy a 20 to 30 foot performance sailboat to race. Conservatively invest the remaining 28.5 mil. 700K to 800K of annual interest would keep me very comfortable for the rest of my life.

Buy lots of houses and when the market turns back around, sell them for a nice profit. Oh, and an Aston Martin to drive around in the summer.

    I'd do nothing.......honestly.

I like the life I'm living now, that extra cash would just ease my mind on expenses and I'd live the rest of my life worry free.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
invest it and continue to go on as usual for about 10 years. Then travel endlessly with my significant other, settle down, have kids, and have fun toys, nothing lavish really. Money can buy happiness but you get to a point of diminishing returns. I don't need a supercar or anything. Plenty happy with my truck.

    Ok.... lets see.
Pay off mine and my parents debt. Give them a chunk to live off for a while. Trick out my Tacoma for off road- hell buy another and make one SAS and one LT! Then get a 5.7L Tundra crewmax or a Megacab Cummins Ram for a tow rig and a nice enclosed trailer to haul stuff around. Buy like 5 quads, an LS1 powered 4-seat sand car, a RZR S, and a street bike or 2. Maybe a sick car like a new GT-R. Buy a bunch of land in the mountains by a lake and build a nice house with a crazy shop that has a lift and all the fabrication tools i could ever want, I'd also buy a house somewhere a few hours away from the first one. I would be on the ocean and near a city too- Maybe in Nor Cal? Keep the remaining, oh 10 or 15 mil or so and live off the interest for the rest of my life. If that doesnt work out, buy a shop and do some sick fabrication like Demello, etc......

    Thats the dream.

    That's alot of money.

For $30 million, what COULDN'T you buy?
You could probably BUY the government.:D

If I won even $1 million - Obviously, I'd pay off my house. I'd probably have my house totally rebuilt with a bigger garage ,etc. When that's all said & done - pay off the vehicles, take a few trips, and invest the rest to make sure we're financially set forever.

Of course, I'd have to buy a few things for the truck.

I would get a quiet piece of land, have a horse or two, and live quietly, wanting for nothng. In the city I would have 3 apartments, one with a blond, a red head, and a brunette. I would die happy naked, screaming and broke, just like I came into this world.

I missed 17 million by one digit.

Five out of 6 numbers and the 6th was one off. After taxes in New York state, thats would have been about $300,000...

Kind of a bummer in that you feel like that was your shot and ya missed it.

Either way, won't matter as i have the 10 million from tonights drawing in the bag.

If you had 30 mil, why would you buy houses... to make more money? Wouldn't the point of having won 30 mil mean that you wouldn't have to do risky things like that? We're in a recession because a lot of people did exactly that- bought a lot of houses- and lost their shirts. The market ain't coming back anytime soon, and when it does, it sure isn't going to be like the days where anything that breathed got a loan. Just saying...
