If your house was burning, what would you take with you?

It's a conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question.

Family members/pets & my phone. I also have a fire box with personal info as well set aside.

 

My dog. I figure my wife can self-ambulate.

If I was on the top floor I might grab a couple of pictures on the way out, along with my knives.

If I was on the bottom floor, maybe some pictures. I'd try and get my ammo out too so it doesn't go off.

 

I'd try to grab my computer on the way to the truck

Important docs are "on the cloud" anyway and in this era pictures can just be reprinted. Insurance would hate me but I'd just kick back, watch the blaze and wait for my check.

 

My dog, material possessions can be replaced

 

I'd go for the laptop and if I had time I'd try and grab my gf

 

my wife and kid

My cat and my wife

Mostly the cat though

 

My dogs, and truck. What else do I need?

 

Your keys

 

Cat, laptop, desktop, camera, car keys, phone (that's all one load). I have stuff in fireproof safes which I would leave behind.

 

I would take the following with me:

1. My family,
2. my wallet,
3. cell phone,
4. Keys to the truck
5. Glock 23.

Everything else can burn because all my important documents and family photos are in the cloud, and on a DVD in my safe deposit box at the bank.

 

First off, if my own house caught fire, I'd be pretty pissed!! But I would grab my dog first. I live alone so I dont have to worry about anyone else. Then if I could, I'd pull the truck out and my dirt bike.

 

Assuming my girlfriend can get out on her own, I'd grab the pets for sure and, if there was time, I've got a fire-safe with my personal crap in it and my laptop. If I had a lot of time, I'm going back for the big screen

 

They are always in the truck in the garage.

Once the family is safe and my keys/wallet are on me, I'd grab the M-9, (stashed ammo is safe in a fire-safe), laptop, get my cat, maybe my dog, and if time allows, my throwing knives/axes/tomahawks and Bible.

 

All you know is that I live in greater Cincinnati.
