If you've had a lifted JK - HELP

My brother is in the middle of researching lifts for his JK and is looking at BDS and AEV. I know some forum members here have had lifted Jks.

ANY help you can offer would be appreciated.

Yes we have both looked on Jeep forums but they are an....interesting breed of people and not as helpful as members I this forum.

Had this lift on my wife's 08 JK along with 35's. It handled pretty good when rock crawling and on other terrains. On the pavement you could feel every little crack in the road but that's all jeep suspensions, lol. Can't remember where we got the lift from but I remember it being cheaper than this. I think we got it for around $1800

 

I bought a used 2008 JK with 35s and a Teraflex coil spring lift already installed by the previous owner. Bought it without doing a ton of research first and immediately had to put adjustable control arms (front & rear) and tom woods driveshafts to accommodate the steep driveline angles of a 2 door. If you're brother is buying a 4 door he won't have to worry about that as much but definitely be on the lookout for that.
