Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
This thread is everything I needed to have answered about the Rubi. Thanks!

Rear LSD good? What about the DCLB factor? (Y'all know my rig, other opinions on it in regards to running the Rubi?)

I'd be down for a long-term-planned trip! Coming in from SoCal.

Definitely need at least a rear locker and I wouldn't take a DCLB on it. If you do at least bring 2 extra drive lines.

Nice work gents... looks like a party. Video was well put together, most 4 wheeling get boring in 2 mins. Not the case here. Well done.

How many in the group only had rear lockers? How did they do?

Oh man! That's what I get for hurrying.

I should word that differently. I mean how many only had rear and not front.

    Thanks!

I'm regearing my 2016 soon and am trying to decide if I want to add a front arb or not. I was initially leaning toward one. But and slowing thinking I'll be okay with my rear only and traction control for the front.

The main reason I got a front locker is for snow and just this year alone its made a huge difference a few times. I thought "I might as well since im regearing" but you need to also carry extra tie rods and a spare CV IMO. I have used it a few times in the rocks and did on the con.
Went through about 4.5-5ft of snow (up to my headlights) to get around my friend who was stuck so he could use me as an anchor point, winching him backwards did nothing.

Back on topic though...I'm glad this was posted. I haven't done the rubicon for 15+ years. I've always wanted to go back. I'll be there septemberish 2017!

It's $300 off I believe if you add it when regearing and get them through ECGS

Oh man! I have the gears already and I'm doing the labor myself.

I'm tempted to just get the ARB. It'll also solve the bearing issue that ecgs sells a solution to that I was debating on doing at the same time.

I just don't know if I need it. This would be the hardest trail I'll ever do. Then in Moab elephant hill, poison spider, hells revenge, maybe Moab rim even though I hate that trail. So it's not like doing anything extreme.

It isn't needed for this trail but certainly helped me in a few short spots. Although @Mademan925, @MJonaGS32 and a few others did just fine with just a rear locker.

Yeah that's where I am too. There has been a couple spots having one would have been nice, but it still made it through okay without one.

Downside is most of the hard trails I've done have been downhill. And I haven't had a lot of chances to use the traction control my truck has. With 35's I don't want to wait on the regear. So it's a guess on the ARB at this point.

Not a lot of 2016's have any sort of reviews how good the mts works vs a locker. I don't think previous models had mts? But did have atrac which I think is similar. But again, not much available there from searching either.
