It's not bad, I wish there bend radius was tighter, but, meh, only for a couple things that ended up looking better when I did them different anyway.

Dude, I love your setup. A fuckin shower that's not me trying to find the closest pack of baby wipes is a steady improvement. Great meeting you, BTW.

    I did almost nothing today.

Topped off rear leaking air shock. Ordered a seal kit, should be here in time to rebuild, add oil, air, then wheel. I took no pictures of this.

Then I fixed something that's been bugging me. Fucking brake lines. I really need a permanent solution...

Weighed my little piggy. 4280lbs with no gear.

    I figure:
+130ish lbs for additional tube work around engine and adding the winch.
+90 for 2 gerry cans full
    +50 for CO2 tank full
+70 for tools not loaded now and additional mounting tubing
    +230 for me
    +120 for passengers

    4970 at max trail weight.

    Not too shabby.

Forgot about spare, so maybe I'll just cut off my legs to get under 5k total.

    Also did air shock things.
    212mL from DR
    217mL from PR

Put 275mL in each and 200psi N2. Body roll significant decreased. I'll add 20mL to each tomorrow then test. Rougher ride but I'd rather that than unloading on a side hill.

Busted another PS line, drove directly to summit and got another. 37 dollars a pop, I gotta stop busting lines.

Then went up to the top to play in what's left of the snow.

Also swapped springs again. My middle was 14" 300 lbs. Now I have a 10 inch 200 lbs spring. Rides a couple inches lower. 5 inches travel front 7 rear now. And fuckin body roll is not as ridiculous. I can get it to kick over but I have to try.

    Before:IMG_20200529_220640.jpg

    After:

    IMG_20200607_111449.jpg

Not super noticeable from pictures at different angles, but stability and sidehill unload is improved by a non-trivial amount

Had a helper today. He used the screwdriver on the sliders... So they're good to go now.

Boxed out rear lower link frame brackets and rear shock axle mounts. Filled some holes, fucked with ride height on PF. Have 5 inches up 10 inches down in front and 8 inches up 10 down rear.

Then I went and found the breather I ignored when welding the truss. I'll run to the hydraulic place that made my brake lines and see if they have a 90° fitting that will work for the breather. If not, dunno.

But Rubicon in 2 weeks, so I need to work out some of this little shit. Also bent up tube for another deck to mount gerry cans. But realized I was out of cut off wheels and I don't feel like traveling to Lowe's.

    Mid-life crisis done correctly?

So, without a notcher, I'm really particular about notching with a grinder and flap disk to get good fitment. The chop saw never was accurate enough and the plasma is rad, but the slag is a pain to clean.

But mostly, I was being lazy.

Jeez, you’ve been coping all this tubing by hand? You’re a glutton for punishment.

Lol yeah, bender and welder were necessities, notcher and plasma are luxury. I chose the plasma because consumables are not as consumed as much as hole saw blades in a notcher. But I've put that plasma to excellent use, because fuck getting that ifs out with a grinder/torch.

Yeah really. I recent picked up a plasma and it’s kick ass. Just got a bender too, and a notcher. I’ve tried notching by hand and I am atrocious at it. Anyways, back into the shadows I go.

I’m surprised you like the grinder better than the chop saw for notching tubing. I figured the chop saw would be way better than a grinder for multiple precise cuts but that makes my decision even easier to go plasma cutter instead of chop saw for next shop tool.

You’ve got some serious skill with a flapwheel and/or an ungodly amount of patience for ripping this all out with it.

Fuck grinding welds, wear the sploppyness proud!

If I cant get any of the spatter off with the wire wheel when I blow the slag off the weld, it was meant to be there.
