@Overlanerd came by to check out the camper today and help me put the stronger struts on the roof. I think they are too strong. I can hang off of one end and not bring it down. Oops!

Ordered 2 different weights to play around.

So is the fabric something that you are covering on your side or is the manufacture going to handle it. Cant wait for the pricing breakdown

Kind of both, I'm going to get it made and they are going to work with the same shop or find an alternative. So far, it's a matter of working out windows, openings, netting etc that needs to be incorporated.

Damnit I like that. Make's me want to rethink my RTT. @Iggy would they be able to do custom side windows as well, Like just a camper window on the side? Or is it 2 windows for the middle structural support?

You can do anything! I'm looking to get a base price on a model with solid sides and a rear section that keeps the tail gate. Then you can add all the options you want. I went with two doors for more center rigidity, security and accessibility.

Amazing project. This is exactly what I've been looking for after seeing that thread on expo.

Any guesstimate on weight? Two normal side windows + keeping the tailgate would be perfect.

How well built is it? I've heard of aluminum contractor caps falling apart after a few years compared to a fiberglass cap.

Also, have you considered the cab overhang height for when the frame flexes offroad?

That's what you think. I'm planning on running some tube under the fiberglass fenders to the frame for more support for stuff on top :D

Weight I'm guessing around 400lbs. I don't have a scale that big so I'll have to go to a yard empty and with it on.

I haven't heard of contractor caps failing before, not that it's not possible, but the framing and structure is very similar to a 4WC, so I'm expecting similar wear.

I've taken the overhang and flex into account. There's plenty of room and if the cab hits the camper I've got much bigger problems.
