Subscribed very nice build this is what I've been looking for! Might have to make a trip to the left coast to get one!

@TurtleTruckTraveler ... I think I've seen your truck in town. I also met with this manufacturer last year when I bought my Taco, but decided to stick with what I had until I really knew what I wanted. After a year I'm still undecided but as a former FlipPac (and Westfalia) owner I'm very tempted by Iggy's and Overlanerd's builds. Glad to hear your endorsement on their quality. I'd be up for a camper bench-racing meetup/BS session. And again thanks to Iggy for working with the manufacturer!

haha! It looks that way, but nothing is actually obstructing them. It's just the angle of the pic.

Finally got the flat lid on! I had to replace the lift arm to get it to fit, but hello 7' clearance.

Many reasons to keep it low.

    Branches.

    Parking garages.

    And more ambitious reasons.

Ordered the material to make a small cabinet. The idea is to have storage for my 3 Front Runner Wolf Packs, with a bit more storage in the front. I didn't add any drawers to pull towards the outside because it would hit the rear hatch door. So this will have two pop up doors on the top. the front runners will be accessible from the inside and the little hatch will be accessible from the outside through a side camper door.

This all came about to have room for another single sleeping area, or stealth camping as @Overlanerd calls it. He's actually the reason I am doing this after talking about his setup.

Here's the CAD to get general dimensions as an idea for how much boltless framing I will need. The blue squares are the frontrunner packs.

Heres the concept in a rough drawing. I'll have another strip of wood going over the wheel well area.

    Sorry I missed this!

I haven't done anything yet to the bed. I will be adding @Bentrodder bed supports soon, and also adding KB Voodoo metal bed protectors. Other than that, it sits on the bed like any other camper shell.

The roof and the cab over have foam insulation. I didn't have the roof painted so it's still white to help keep the temps low.

I'm in Napa, so if you ever cruise through shoot me a PM!

    All good!

Why do all the people that are good with wiring on this forum have to live so far away!

Can't wait to see more progress on this camper... just got done going through all of the progress on it.

Omg just joined because of this thread!! Will these be available for gen1 Tacoma's? If so please I'd like to be put down on the list. I was about to place an order for a Habitat, I met Mario Donovan Co-Founder of AT Overland and have my estimates in hand but to be honest I prefer your design.

Hey, dunno what your flooring plan is, but in the Habitat I ended up getting a Bed Rug to put down on the floor before I started drilling through the floor to put in the airline track and such. They're not cheap (new they're like $400, although I found mine on CL for $100 with some free husky hair), but it's made a big difference in using the truck as a camper, especially for floor sleeping. Plus you can still hose it all out when you need to freshen it up.
