tl;dr - In my opinion, if you contact them and try and place an order, you're adding delay and hassle to what @Iggy and @Overlanerd are working on. Also, you will not receive a complete product and will have to line up subcontractors to complete work on the product that you can learn about on previous pages.

I recommend reading all 42 pages of this thread. I bit the bullet and read the entire thing and have been following it so that I am up to date with the latest information. The fabricator was already announced in this thread, so that confirms that you haven't read it.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but there's a lot of info in this thread that can't just be summarized to respond to a request like "I want to buy one, but I don't want to read about it first".

This is 100% spot on. We will have a solution soon on purchasing these campers. I don’t want to give too many details because the announcement will be made when everything is lined up for preorders, but I can assure everyone it will be around the beginning of the year and a product everyone has come to expect from all our conversions.

As @JasonLee stated, and what @Iggy and I have experienced, the unnamed manufacturer does not offer a complete product.

Here's a sneak peek of one of our preliminary concepts:

Fortunately Iggy put the kibosh on my idea... ;)

So I know the updates have been a bit slow, but for about the last 6 months I've been developing a version 2 of the camper. It's almost wrapped up, but it's not made using a welded frame like the current configuration. It's much more streamlined from the interior just like the exterior of my current one. I have a tendency to obsess over things and I wanted something else, so just like the first one, I went ahead and made it!

I think that's what has been the most fun with this whole project is putting all our ideas on the table from experience and building something practical and resilient for our interests.

I am very curious to see your new model. I hope that the tent portion was solved. I am very interested in one of these campers as it would really upgrade my current set up and solve a lot of issues for us.

First, just gotta say hats off to you guys for taking the initiative and doing all the development work so that the rest of us end up having completed option to buy! I love my flippac but similar to Phil we camp in the snow and inclement weather often and this solution would be primo!

Are you still thinking around the beginning of the year for a complete details?

    Awesome job

This was an f'ing long thread to go through. Beautiful build. But, looking at the timelines, I'm not overly optimistic that this will happen anytime soon. Would love to see a finished camper and some pricing. I'm on the other thread too - I think whomever gets out there first is going to get a lot of orders.

If this was available around the 5-6K price points mentioned - with all the awesome openings, etc, I would write a check tomorrow. I think there's a bunch of guys out here who would do the same.

I really like what you have done. The doors/windows/openings look top notch. I love the idea of heavier 'canvas'. I need protection from rain and snow.

    Good luck.

Hi guys, thanks for all the questions and interest in my build! When I started working on the truck I had no idea I would be where I am today.

Sorry for the lack of details on the camper. The whole plan from the very beginning was to bring these to market. We have had some setbacks, but it's only allowed us to redesign and make improvements to an already awesome idea. Building these for you guys is still a thing. We are working hard to make it happen, and when all the details have been worked out I'll make a big announcement. If you want a camper like mine, it won't be long I promise. I'm just the kind of guy that like to underpromise and over deliver so you won't have too wait too long, I'll have something for you all soon.

Oh wait, I'm in on this thing...

Just wanted to reinforce Iggy's message. The devil's in the details and we can't expect customers to accept and fix the issues we experienced with our campers. The issues, albeit minor, were not ignored and we've improved on the original design.

There's no "maybe" about it, and really never was; our campers will be available for purchase soon.

The campers will be worth the wait, and the wait won't be long.
