Can you clear up some confusion for me? Is your design the GoFast Camper or something completely different. They seem very similar.

    Check out the build
Our camper hasn’t really changed since I announced what I was building over a year ago in this build thread. V2 is an improvement over what we’ve built with the same overall design as V1. In fact V2 is patent pending.

We’ve just been slower at coming to market with our camper, but all that is changing.

Edit: here’s the original thread where everything started. With my first renderings and everything.

i do remember reading that build thread on Expo. i thought that guy had a cool idea and especially the use of the scissor hinge, but also thought he had a great shop to work in...

Here’s where the discussions really began in November of 2015:

We never stopped talking about making popup campers. Mostly because we’re geeks about them. Just ask our wives...

Around 2007, when popping up the back portion of the 4wc on the Scout, I really considered converting it to a wedge. So much easier. That feeling came back after getting the 4wc Falcon on the Tacoma. So when Iggy said he found someone who could build our dream campers in 2016, I was immediately on board. For 3 reasons:

1.) I had always wanted a wedge style camper and knew it was better than the other designs.

2.) No company offered one in North America... and within my budget.

3.) It was @Iggy and he makes things happen.

The goal was always to have awesome 4-season campers on our trucks. The V1’s are great, but we’re never content. We’ve found many ways to improve on the design and are stoked to bring this to the community.

Personally I think these are a great idea. My two wants are less height and weight. You guys have nailed the weight but the cab overhang and roof are the same size as my FWC. Dust is a third issue but I think a Bedrug would considerably cut down dust inside. Would love to see a standard length shell that has a wedge pop-up. Windows are a necessity for me too. Watching the evolution of the new wave of truck campers with enthusiasm.

    Nice build!

Quick question, why did you choose the ScangaugeII over the Ultragauge? Reason I ask is I was thinking about buying the ultragauge and at $75 its hard not to.

There are 4. Each one outfitted differently.

Mine probably saw the most trail use. The beta testing/ camping & wheeling really helped because it brought minor issues to light that were corrected on 003 and 004.

Not sure why I used 3 digits there, but it seemed cooler than a hashtag...

Agree. I'd love to see one that can still reasonably fit in a parking garage.

Interested to find out how these things handle snow as well as raising with weight on the roof. Waiting anxiously to find out about production and purchasing options. Thanks for all the updates.

We’ll definitely release that info shortly.

I sometimes carry a 14’ canoe and camp in ski resort parking lots during snowstorms. The campers will accommodate these situations.

I hope V2 has options for windoors? Have a snugtop with them and after using them I can’t imagine not having them.

Can’t wait to see the unveiling of V2.
