Hey guys. So I've been dealing with a weird issue in my 2012 Tacoma v6 AT. At random I am getting some power loss after accelerating from a stop. The first few times it did it I didn't really think much of it. After getting myself the ScanGauge II I noticed that when I would get this power loss during acceleration it would show IGN anywhere in the single digits (positive or negative) and low 10s. The truck normally when the problem isn't present shows anywhere from 15 degrees to 30 degrees depending on throttle and load. It almost feels like the truck has the parking brake set, or there is a really heavy load on the back of it. The intake/exhaust pitch sounds different too, almost like its restricted somehow. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a while now and the problem isn't always there. Sometimes it does it days or weeks in a row, and then it's fine for months without a problem. I'd take it to a dealership for inspection but I know that the problem won't present itself while it's there due to how intermittant it is. I have noticed that it is more frequent in the colder months, if I go around town starting and stopping a lot, and sometimes when I accelerate out of a metered light on the freeway. Spark plugs are brand new, air filter is clean, MAF is clean, throttle body is clean, I also ran some seafoam through the intake to clear up any carbon or debris that may have been causing issues. It also has 91 octane fuel with the OTT tune, and talking to my tuner he said that the tune wouldn't cause these issues. What could I be missing? Any advice on where to look would be greatly appreciated, as this is really frustrating that I cannot find an issue anywhere I look. Thanks guys!

Retards on shifts, its normal if thats when it happens.

Can you watch fuel trims? Do you know how they work? You want B1LTFT or B2 LTFT and for the numbers to between -10% and +10% ideally zero.

Could be a fuel pump running out of steam, they don't always trip codes.

Ideally you'd hook a fuel gauge up.

Fuel trims should be okay. I haven't really seen them any worse than -5 to +5, usually in the range of -3 to +3. \

I've been afraid that it might be fuel pump but I don't have a PID in my scanner to watch the pressures. What is the best way to check pressures?

I have a video where I caught it in the act. Let me see if I can attach it.
