Hey I’m getting a rough cold start and some lack of power or hesitation under load (not enough to throw a CEL) about a year ago I bought two NGK ignition coils from rock auto and it doesnt seem like they specify the cylinders on the coil pack so I installed them and just kept the same wire order. Now after tending to my EGR which eventually threw a CEL I’m cleaned and maintained my throttle body replaced IAC, replaced TPS, ECT, and MAF. None fixed my rough cold start. Shortly after changing my ignition coils though I had a leaking valve cover which I fixed and new pcv valve but oil was being thrown off the belt onto ignition coils I’ve cleaned them since but I’m wondering if anyone out there says don’t use the NGK ignition coils. I’m about to get them replaced from rock autos warranty and try a fresh set…
(Also I put fresh plugs in before the new coils and about a month ago I pulled them to check and cylinder 2 and 4 seemed to be a lot more burnt down which makes makes me think fuel injectors or ignition coils) please any insight is much appreciated.
