Ignition coil retention screwholes in the valve covers stripped out when the screws were removed.

    Just called and left a message that i would like to look into the repair he was talking about and to have them write up an estimate so i could swing by and take a look.

    I’ve had a few pull threads out when loosening, but they’re always due to a previous tune up and someone having overtightened them. If it’s first time, they should come out flawlessly.

    @ Washeem I knew someone would notice I was at Waly Mart and tried every other option before I had to conform to Fram normally...K&N fan.

    By the way would have posted the estimate but the rep was off today so I am on it tomorrow. again I thank all of you for the input on this thread.

    Personally, if your handy, I would just try to helicoil the valve cover threads.

    Will be in touch with previous owner in less than 2 days have to revive old dead phone to get the #. Will have answers to ...if this was the first time spark plugs have ever been changed.

    If chasing it with a tap isn’t gonna do then yes.

    If you can operate a drill, a tap, and read instructions it’s not that difficult. A spring style insert would work fine for bolts that small. I have a 16mm kit that uses a tube type insert.

    Not sure, maybe it’s already been said. If you had ngks on one side and densos on the other, that how it came from the factory.

    Need to be extra careful with a drill, there’s not much meat on the cover. Pretty easy to go too far
